  3. Jerk Chick’n 🇯🇲 - another plant-based, creative & fun recipe made with king oyster mushrooms! I loveee jerk chicken and this alternative really hit the spot 😋💛 As some of you know, I love the creative element of creating these recipes but as a busy bee I mostly cook quick meals and save the extra creative recipes for occasions. However this recipe is sooo good and really hit me culturally that I will be adding it to my rotation! The boneless version only takes 15 mins to prep and is by far my favourite of the 2 options! 🌱 6 king oyster mushrooms 🌱 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 🌱 1 tsp sage 🌱 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning 🌱 1 tsp allspice 🌱 1-2 tsp jerk marinade 🌱 3 rice paper sheet Coating Seasoning 🌱 1-2 tsp jerk seasoning 🌱 ½ tsp all purpose 🌱 ½ tsp paprika 🌱 1 tbsp oil Servings: It takes 150g which is about 2 shrooms for each piece. So this recipe makes about 3 pieces of mock meat. Boil the mushrooms in the sage, all purpose seasoning, 1-2 tsp jerk marinade and nutritional yeast for about 10 mins. Then drain the water and pat try with a kitchen towel. Assemble as shown in the video but layer it up in the center for the drumsticks to make it thick. For the boneless piece, layer it up to the desired thickness. Airfry/roast for 15-20 min at 190oC. Tips: I recommend making your own jerk marinade if you can’t take a lot of spice. The flavor was there, but of course the texture wasn't quite the same as the real thing. I enjoyed it nonetheless. If I would have taken the cutting in the shape of a V then the original leaf wouldn’t look much different. Fun fact, once the tip of a snake plant leaf gets broken or cut it’ll no longer grow, but will instead put out energy to make a pup (new baby plant). This is a sanseveria Jaboa, not to be confused by whale fin like I originally bought it as 🤪 I was like “wow this is the fullest whale fin I’ve ever seen!” Anyway, this is an interesting process that definitely requires patience. Some people can get them to grow just by sticking them in soil, I’m not one of those people. At the end of the video the plant is ready to go into soil though!
