  3. It’s RAD FULLERTONIAN time but this time, it’s not one, but two; a dynamic duo! Meet Larry and Summer Houser - our latest RAD FULLERTONIANS! Ok, we are thinking that you probably already know them but if you don’t, here is your chance to get to know (and support) some folks that we think are pretty incredible assets to our community. Larry and Summer have lived in Fullerton for 22 years and have been making an impact since! Through the years they have given food or gift card donations to support local school and non-profits from their multiple restaurants, including; Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, The Bowery and their newest labors of love - The Charleston and The Preservation Room. In 2011 Larry and Summer embarked on a philanthropic journey by co-founding the Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation. Their mission is to raise awareness about autism and champion initiatives supporting individuals with autism in the Fullerton and North Orange County communities. What they love about Fullerton is that it has such a small-town vibe even though it is a large city. The community is so supportive of one another and they feel it is really heartwarming. And during COVID, the city turned around and gave right back to them by supporting their restaurants during their most difficult time. They will never forget that and are so grateful to the community for picking them up during a time that was so uncertain for many. When not working, you can find Summer and Larry working on exciting projects and fundraising endeavors to support Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation and Tara’s Chance, among others. In fact, you can support them and their causes by purchasing a ticket to The Comedy Show For Autism (link is in Larry’s Bio). Thank you for all you do Larry and Summer, you are integral in making our city as special as it is by being such generous, caring and RAD FULLERTONIANS! …………………………..…………………………..   2. FAM! In 3 months, I’m running the LA marathon in under 3 hours. Now you probably read that and said Aaron, BFFR (be flipping for real). That’s a 6:50/mile pace! For 26.2 miles straight! In fact I’ve already had two of my best friends tell me that while they believe in me, if they had to bet money on me, they would probably bet against me. 🎰 so I figured I’d bet on myself. I’m FUNdraising for my new workplace, Walden Family Services, as I undertake this training in the weeks to come! 🥳 They do wonderful work providing life skills workshops, resources, financial aid, and much more to San Bernardino County former foster youth as well as free parenting classes each and every week! 💛 if you can spare something, every single cent counts! ($1, $5, 10, .25!) and, for this month, thanks to Maryanne & Harley Sefton, every single cent donated gets MATCHED up to $50,000! 😱 that’s gift cards, toys, books, clothing, and holiday meals for foster children and their families this holiday season! 🎁🙏 and if you can’t spare anything at the moment, no worries at all! A share to your friends and family means a ton too! 🙏 Now you may be asking, Aaron, what was that about betting on yourself? well, here’s the DEAL. This challenge is going to continue running (pun fully intended 🐘) past the holidays all the way until race day. If I don’t finish in under 3 hours, I will personally refund every single cent to all amazing individuals who made a delightful donation and donate the full amount raised myself. 🤑 My best marathon time? 4:16.
