I was invited to check out new restaurant 🌴Palm Palm🌴 the other week and it was just okay *gasp* I know!! a person being transparent about a restaurant While there were some decent things on the menu, and some bites that were pretty good—I definitely won’t be running back here anytime soon, but here’s a quick recap 1) its pricey- yes this was a comp’d experience- but that won’t be most of YOUR experience and I have to look out for my friends and my instagram pals and save you your coins 2) lots of small portions/inconsistent presentation- I’ve seen 4-5 pictures and videos of the tuna tots and ours had almost no tuna. The sizes and portions are inconsistent 3) it’s a cute novelty spot/special occasion/girl’s night- it’s instagrammable and cute. A good spot for pictures. Can’t deny that. The ambiance is stunning. It’s beachy and fun and something very unique for Pittsburgh- I get that appeal

  2. Oldest cocktail lounge in Pittsburgh!!🍸🍹 @lemardigras_pgh such a gem. They make crazy stiff drinks- I genuinely have to ask for more mixer sometimes when I get something like a vodka soda🤣 they make very good cocktails though!! Worth a visit just to sit in the same spot as Anthony Bourdian (my idol) and enjoy a cocktail (maybe a cigar or cig if you’re being bad) - this place allows smoking inside- talk about a true 1950s style lounge😭 it’s definitely a fun experience and a cool hangout/happy hour spot or late night haunt 🍻 Have you been??

  3. I’ve been coming to this dive bar for about 4-5 years- but there are locals who have been coming here for decades. A gem of a place. The perfect neighborhood bar. Super inclusive, kind, and welcoming. They’re also dog friendly- you can bring your dog to the bar, and many people do bring their dogs. Even though there’s no food sold aside from chips & snacks- the owner owns another business- a pizza & ice cream shop that delivers to the bar for free! They have great pizza and I’ve talked about their pizza before 🍕 Do you have a favorite neighborhood dive or a spot that’s special to you? I have a ton of places I love
