Make sure the base of your extensions (root) is fully dried after you wash your hair - NO SLEEPING WITH WET HAIR YA MOP BOP. • 2. Heat Protectants are a MUST — we want to get the best use (8 months) out of your hair! • 3. Absolutely no Medium to High Ponytails until week 3. You read that right — $40K on my expansion 2 years ago only to come back to the original salon and DAMN IT FEELS FREAKING GOOD 😭 I have been a Stylist of 10 years, Salon Owner of 5 Years and Mentally drained the past 7. The decision wasn’t easy, there was countless nights of me awake making lists of The Pros, The Cons, and most importantly the risk of having to start over.. I’m posting this because maybe you can relate whether it’s a relationship, job, friendship or passion you had ever had to “give up” or move on from it isn’t easy hell nah I would be a liar if I said it was. I love my salon so dearly and have so much appreciation towards anyone who ever came in to support, rent from me or join my journey to teach me a life lesson (those people deserve a thank you too, always) I was 24 years old when I opened @riptidesalon and as I enter slowly into my 30th year of life I lead with closing a chapter most dear to me to return to the room that started it all, this time in a smaller space with bigger goals, ambitions a new studio name and brand all together and most importantly a bigger heart.
