  3. Yesterday couldn’t have been a better day for our first in a series of curated events by Happening in the Hills. We spent the afternoon in West Cornwall, CT, a small town in the beautiful Litchfield hills. The community gathered to connect with people who are passionate about what they are doing. Brooke Abercrombie and her partner came from California to take on the task of revitalizing the magical Cornwall Castle Estate; then Angus Gracey and his brother Jed shared how they are sustainably growing food and flowers on the land that has been in their family since the 1700s and selling it at their farmstand. After a chance encounter with dairy cows at @thorncrestfarm, Tommy Eucalitto became inspired, moved to the Alps and then Sardinia to work with shepards and cheese makers, and has now just finished his first year making cheese at his own farm @coltsfootvalleyfarm; and Erika DaSilva, co-manager of @wassaiclantern pursued her passion for unique wines and opened @tenmiletable wine shop just two months ago. Restoring the 19th century former candy shop into another type of goodie shop. People coming together, sharing what they are passionate about, in an area that we all love.
