Today, we were honored to meet the talented @joncarloftisfinegardens, who treated us to a noteworthy tour of his home and gardens named Botherum. I was so happy to bring him a design I created with blooms from @dreisbachlexington and stems from @hopeflowerfarm. I also got to share my "Holly" mechanics from @syndicatesales, and my garden rose “Princess Hollys Hope from @alexandrafarms @princessgardenroses. What a remarkable treasure today was!! When it’s all said and done, I can honestly say that since a child, I’ve always treated everyone fairly, with respect, helped people in need, loved my Momma to the end of this Earth, worked tirelessly to be number one in whatever I focused on, loved my friends and my precious dogs (always female blonde with a reddish tinge 🥰🥰) AND have made countless folks enjoy their lovely gardens that I’ve designed and installed, and sometimes maintained.   1. This morning I had the privilege of handing over the keys to this sacred place. It now has a beautiful new family and I know they will love it, enjoy it and appreciate the history. For many years I would drive past and see the pretty blue flower pots on the porch and wonder what went on behind those gates. Little did I know that one day I would be afforded the opportunity to come inside and even more so, I would come to love its owner as my very own family. And also, nothing could have prepared me for the chaos that was always ensuing when a certain person was home 🤣🤣🤣 Today is a hard day. As I walked around for the final time , I thought of the very first time I went there. All of the fun and amazing things I experienced. I thought of my Ellen, and how she made it feel like a home. It wasn’t the kind of place you’d walk in and were afraid to touch anything or sit down. There was a basket of snacks on the counter, for all to enjoy and comfy seating anywhere you’d look. They always welcomed people with open arms and I know they will do the same at their new home. I am now the loving owner of those pretty blue flower pots. I can’t wait to plant my white mums in them, just like @cal_mrs always did. Peace out, 1732. You will be missed by my family and me.😢 and you’ll forever be known as “the Calipari house”. 🙏🏻
