  1. Before it all started— A little about me before I made the name for myself “MAKEUPBYALEXUS” … I had 0 experience with makeup. I was an athlete & loved sports. They were a HUGE part of my childhood 🥹 from playing travel ball all year round, to high school, and even college! I met many amazing people during those great times. I look back at it, and I’m like dang, life was a more simpler back then 🥹🏀 I will say, I am forever grateful for the discipline sports have taught me in this lifetime. Makeup became a hobby of mine my senior yr because I knew I wasn’t going to play sports forever. I honestly did not have the encouragement at the time to pursue makeup artistry full time or even at all for that matter. I enrolled in Hartnell not knowing what I wanted to pursue in life. I decided to become a Psychology major because I was told “if you’re a people’s person, you’ll enjoy it!” So that’s what I did 🥲 (yes, I now have my AA). School was never my strong suit, as it is for some, but I always managed to get a 3.0-4.0. I feel like it was because I refused to fail. Right when I graduated Hartnell, I worked HARD for my very first MAKEUP STUDIO and CAR. A little after, I enrolled in beauty college 🥹🫶🏻THAT Is where my career started to become more serious. I worked SOOO hard that was able to pay my tuition in FULL!! NO LOANS. I sacrificed so much because I knew what needed to be done! I was my own motivation. I did not want to live a life with no purpose & am forever grateful that I have found it. I thank God, my family, boyfriend, and all you amazing supporters! My life has taken many different turns, but we are here now! I made it! I am where I need to be. I am happy. I am working. I am successful at the age of 23! To anyone who is scared for life has to offer them, do not be! God has a plan for you. It will take some time, but You got this. Do not give up!♾️🤍
