  1. 7 scars later…so what happened? I couldn’t make the turn at the bottom of a hill while inline skating…and that’s the last thing I remember. The next thing I remember is calling my dad on a stranger’s phone who had stopped to help me…I found out later that was my 3rd time calling him and I still don’t remember the first two. I like to think I live a pretty normal life, but that was one of the most abnormal and incredibly scary things to ever happen to me. I’m smiling in the video but was incredibly concussed and actually don’t even remember taking the video. It was taken on the way to the ER where I got put in a neck brace and had to get a CT scan to make sure there wasn’t bleeding in my brain. A lot of people ask why I almost always wear wrist guards and/or knee pads when I skate…hopefully this explains that a little💀 Feeling very blessed and grateful to be alive. And very grateful that there is only a tiny scar on my face - nothing like what you see there. Even though this was a skate-related accident, I still love skating, and have been loving it even more since I started doing quad skating (in addition to just inlines). But now I inline skate with a helmet and wear wrist guards when I’m quad skating😁
