  2. This poor guy fell or jumped into a basket that had filled with rain water and be couldn't get out, so I helped him. I know hypothermia can be an issue even on warmer nights, so I waited for my husband to bring me the "beastie box" (a container I have to put critters in that need help, rehabilitation or transportation), but when he got there the Kangaroo Rat just hopped off into some bushes. I think he'll be fine.   2. We are so happy to share our completed mural, ‘Tracks and Trails’, with the community. When we were developing this piece, our goal was to create an immersive, visual narrative that celebrates the Rillito River and its surrounding ecosystem. Through a collaborative effort and blending of our artistic styles, the work honors the symbiotic relationship between wildlife, vegetation and the humans that call this place home. We used a hyper real color palette and a high level of detail, contrast and texture to create a sense of illusion, intended to physically draw visitors in as they journey down the trail. Tracks and Trails’ is meant as both a symbol of unity and resilience, and reminds us of our shared commitment to protecting this natural resource for generations to come. I’m super grateful to the folks at @theopusgroup for trusting me to take the creative reigns and give me autonomy on this. The location holds a special place in my heart. It’s where Maloney’s used to stand. Where I went out for my first beer when I turned 21. (And so many nights after that.)
