Our first session scheduled with Kapri got totally rained out, and the second one looked the same — but we decided to go for it anyway. We chased the light, dodged the rain, and somehow managed to grab a few shots before calling it.   1. Searching for indoor fun in Sonoma County? 🏠🔍 Look no further than the Poppy Bank Epicenter! 🌟 This place is always a great time 🎉, with something awesome for everyone. When my son and I dropped by, we didn’t know where to start – video games 🎮, virtual reality 🕶️, XD dark ride 🎢, or laser tag 🔫? It was all fair game, and trust me, the excitement was real. 🤩 We had a total blast in their VR world 🌐 – my son’s new favorite thing. And don’t even get me started on the XD dark ride; it’s a wild ride you won’t forget, we did the Carnival Ride 🎪. Laser tag was like a real-life video game showdown – so much fun! 😁 After all those epic games, we were ready to refuel, and Victory House 🍔🍺 was our place. This spot is not just a restaurant; it’s a sports bar too 📺, with indoor and outdoor seating. Plus, their giant TVs always show the newest games. We happened to visit during a Niner game 🏈, and the place was filled with Niner fans of all ages.   2. “It was the first time my daughter engaged in egg hunting! Thank you for making space for her.”- parent This year, @visit.epicenter went above and beyond to create a magical egg hunt for all types of hunters. They set up two fields : 🥚the first was more traditional, where fast runners could gather as many eggs as possible 🐣the second was filled with more eggs than you can imagine. Kids went at their own pace and everyone was able to participate without the anxiety of not being fast enough. We are so grateful for our partnership with @visit.epicenter !   3. Did you know the Epicenter has a free Sensory Room for families to use when they need a break from the commotion of the arcade? In the sensory room, you will find: 💕Swings ❤️fidgets 💙weighted blanket 💛slide 💚crash pad 💜sensory toys 🎶 calming music 💡covered lights The Epicenter also has larger changing cots, so if you’re child child, teen, or adult needs to be changed you do not have to place them on the bathroom floor. #dignity Lastly, at the check-in counter, there are headphones and glasses to help with sensory overwhelm. We are so grateful for all the Epicenter does to make space for everyone! As we continue to work towards a community of belonging, I am hopeful!   3. Piercing for children doesn’t have to be a big scary event. I have a ton of experience with children that have sensory needs so I utilize that experience in the piercing room to make it as fun and smooth as possible. I also have a ton of experience with children on the spectrum and ADHD as an ADHD/spectrum human myself who studied child development. Mom gave me permission to post these.
