  1. I saw a therapist on Thursday, and he asked me what I would say to Paul if he were here, and I knew it would be the last time we spoke. The only thing that came to mind was, "Thank you." My answer to that question brought me comfort because there was nothing left unsaid between us. We spoke daily, saw each other weekly, and always went out of our way to make sure of it. With how busy life is these days, I think that's pretty rare. Seeing so many posts from so many different groups of people, all touched by Paul, has made me smile all week. We were all so lucky. I'm going to miss our random trips, beers in my basement, buying an extra ticket to everything just in case, and ordering everything off a menu because we're both so scared to miss out on something amazing. I'm so thankful you called me to go for lunch on Thursday, and I think you'd really appreciate me being there to take care of you as best I could on Saturday. I love you buddy. Being part of his story is an honour that I'm not sure I completely deserve, but it's something I'll always be grateful for.

Some of our best friends joined me. I'd met him in high school, but we didn't connect until he decided to frequent my bar. I loved Paul, I'm absolutely broken. But I wouldn't trade our relationship for the world.

  3. We had to say goodbye to our sweet Lila last week. Lila and the love she gave us was truly something special. She went from a mutt with health issues from the humane society (that was found on Ellice & no one bothered to look for) to one of the closest friends I've ever had. She beat plenty of health issues over her 13+ years, and I like to think it was because she knew we couldn't get through the last year and a half without her. Love you Lila. You'll be missed more than you'll ever know.

  2. I was not ready to post this for the past week. I tried and tried and would delete the post as I was not ready and couldn't find the words. My Dad passed away on Aug 24th while on vacation in Srilanka in his hometown. This was a vacation he was looking forward to for a while,kept delaying it and wanted to go once my mom arrived from Srilanka. What was supposed to be a fun and relaxing trip for him turned into what non of us has imagined. My dad had stroke and while we were planning to leave Canada to go be by his side my dad passed away the next day. We laid our dad to rest in his hometown of Vavuniya. Many of you know my dad as great cook who worked at @esquirerestaurant which was his second home 🏡. My dad loved hosting parties at home and enjoyed cooking always. My dad loved unconditionally ❤️ and his enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. APPA I don't know how this journey will go on without you, I will try to find the strength and keep those memories we have of you always. Logan will miss your nandu curry and we will miss your smile and warmth and the love you showered us with always. Its not a goodbye but a see you later.   3. This is with a very heavy heart I say this to you, I met you at a wedding almost 9 years ago. Little did I know that our friendship would grow so much and we would travel many miles together. I looked at you like my own brother,we shared many memories and many laughs. I remember saying to you when I first you met you "Bro your one sick DJ" all you did was giggle and keep playing and you were just 18 at the time. You are and will always be my friend,brother and Logan's guardian. From my first car to my last year you and me have put over so many kms of just us driving from one place to another. From London to Montreal, we drove for many events and many gigs. I remember telling you about Sindy for the first time, and the only thing you said was " Bro Im so happy for you" from my wedding to reception you ran around for me and Im so sorry I never got a chance to properly say how much I love you for that. I dont know if i'll ever meet someone who is so selfless and is out there to do good things for others. When i didnt believe in myself and decided Emcee wasnt for me you insisted i keep my headup and keeping doing it. You never asked anything for yourself,you always wanted to prove to everyone else. I wish I can see you again one last time so I can tell you how much we all miss you and how much my wife and baby Logan want to see your smile. Aside from the outstanding achievements of our team of Elite Athletes over the weekend at the past 2024 Atlantic’s Classic Championships I was surprised and very honored to have been the recipient of The Ken Black award. Ken Black was a true legend in our industry, and I always said that I considered him to be the coolest guy in the room - in ANY room. So, you can imagine how ironic it was to see someone wearing a pink blazer and video montage set to “I’m Just Ken” from the Barbie movie receive this prestigious award lol For those who know me well, you understand how seriously I take my role in the fitness community. While I do have a fair amount of success with my coaching record, I place even greater importance on the connections I build with my athletes. I strongly believe in empowering them to become positive leaders within the fitness scene. From my early days as a men’s physique competitor with limited potential, I was fortunate to receive unwavering support and attention from Heather LeBlanc and Ti-Jean LeBlanc. They treated me with the same respect as top-tier athletes, regardless of likely seeing my potential to go far as a Men’s Physique competitor was limited. That experience taught me the value of treating every athlete equally and with utmost respect. It’s a lesson I carry with me to this day. I firmly believe that each of us has a responsibility to make the bodybuilding world a welcoming and inclusive place. Let’s leave behind pettiness and drama and instead embrace kindness and support. We must rise above negativity and be the positive lights that the industry needs. Together, we can set an example for others to follow. I have immense respect for my fellow coaches. Anyone who dedicates so much of themselves to their clients is truly admirable. Let’s remember that while we may be in competition with each other, it should always be a friendly and supportive competition.   3. St.Ola I will miss you 🤍 ……………………..……………………………… I’ve been spending some much needed time away from my Instagram and using that time and energy on my people & experiences. This past weekend was filled with laughs, love, clearly lots of drinks and just pure happiness. Being self employed and having your business primarily promoted through social media means the constant need (& fear) to stay relevant and not get lost in the thousands of other posts. I’m recognizing as important as this is, taking a weekend away won’t dissolve my business. It won’t wreck my progress with my business, physical, or personal goals. Work is apart if life.. not your entire life. Finding balance is something I always stand by & it’s time I made room for balance in more areas of my life! I’ve now decided a hot tub is part of that balance .. & in the mean time will be on the hunt for one 😂 I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend spending at least some with your family & friends!   1. When should you tell your clients to arrive for the appointment? 🧐 In our PMU trainings we teach our students time management and proper time allocation for a maximum Return on Investment. (Your ROI is exactly what determines your business profitability, not simply “yey, I made $300 in 2 hours” ) Ideally, clients should be arriving 5 minutes before the appointment in order to fill out a form, use a bathroom etc. If your client is running late (things happen) you should have a grace period of 15minutes, and if it’s more than that- appointment will have to be rescheduled. By establishing a solid time system in your business, you will maximize your profits and increase retention of your clients.
