  1. THE LAST YEAR⬇️☕️ Was so much harder than I ever thought it would be. We see all the girlies launching their businesses, doing their boss babe thing - and we think YUP. We can do the same! And we CAN. We absolutely CAN. But holy moly - it looks much easier than it actually is. We see the glamor of “launching a business” but we don’t see all of the nitty gritty that goes on behind it. This past year has been full of ups and downs - about 30 crashouts, 10 periods of “jk I don’t want to do this anymore”, and yet…. I kept going. I kept moving forward one step at a time. Because even with all of those emotions - the negative feelings never outweighed the drive, determination, and sheer delusion of convincing myself that I AM capable of doing this. So The Menu, by Bags for Breakfast, is launching SO soon. But before that - I wanted you all, the ones who’ve followed me and supported me from the beginning, to have an inside look at what has actually gone on during the process of building this. I’ve also had an army around me… @paralemmedia , @sarah_k_buchanan , @lifeofpeytonnn , @rstushnoff , @laurajpitsch , @oksana_bach , @itscourtwatkins , @lulugodin , @sugoibaby , @brittnea.nicole , @morgancameronn_ , @aaftias , @__chloemae__ , @karissapukas , @randasalloum @vickyminamakeup @baldwinbeauty - a mix of team members, close friends, and people in the industry who have just been willing to converse with me. And my husband @gaetan.osman who’s been working hard to ensure that I can work very part-time while I dedicate the rest to bags for breakfast. It really does take a village. And I couldn’t have gotten here without my village. And the crazy part is - I’m building all this hype around this “launch” - as I should. It’s been a lot of work. But the hardest work is yet to come - to continue to work hard with no pay, to continue to work hard when I don’t know what the outcome will be - to continue to work hard without any light ahead of me. Forging this path, and continuing on with it - that’s the hard part. And that’s where success will be found (I hope lol). Thank you for being here xo #bagsforbreakfast #entreprenuer #luxuryresale #baglovers launch

  2. 32🤍 and I swear, the years just keep getting better. And if I may, here are my 3+2 life lessons I’ve learned thus far 1) Don’t be afraid of critique, or opinions that differ from your own. Learn to approach them with genuine curiosity, and your world will change before your eyes. 2) Start and end your day WITHOUT your phone - exist in your physical surroundings with your own thoughts before allowing your mind to be flooded with everything that the coming day will bring. End your day the same way, reminding yourself of your mind, body, and physical surroundings before sleeping. It sounds dramatic - but this small practice has made me feel so grounded and present, and has made my days so much more enjoyable. 3) Say how you feel to those you care about - positive or negative, easy or difficult - because no one in your life is a mind reader. 4) Buy the dress! Occasions will always come and go, but that one perfect dress might not ever come back…I’m serious. 5) And lastly, start the business. Oh my god, START THE BUSINESS. Life owes you nothing, and it will you give 99 reasons not to start - but it will also give you 1 dang good reason TO start. So if you’ve had that 1 reason in your head like I did for a long long time - Listen to it, and just. Do. It. 📸 my husband, again and again, for always @gaetan.osman This year we were inspired by 90’s Herb Ritts photography - the black and white, the lighting, the body, all of it. It might be my favorite session we’ve done together yet.

  3. 31!!! Another year being photographed by my amazing husband. Gosh 30 was honestly one of my favorite years so far - and I know 31 will be even better. I don’t fear getting older, actually I’m thrilled to be given another year of this life. I do, however, fear standing still. I fear being stagnant. And I don’t mean physically, no - life happens. Sometimes we physically need to remain stagnant, to be still. My fear is that even in those circumstances that I will forget about my mind, that I’ll just accept what is, as it is. No - I hope to always question, and reflect - as this is growth in its most minimal form. In year 30 I was reminded that my body won’t simply remain as I want it to. My body, and my mind alike, is what I make of it. I’m so proud of the strength I built this year and I cannot wait to keep building on that strength in the years - decades if I’m lucky - to come. 30 brought a lot of change - no siree we did not stand still. I have to laugh because I remember turning 20 and thinking “Wow. In a decade I’ll be 30, and my life will be all figured out.” This year I realized that “figured out” is a state of mind, not a destination. At 31, I can say I’ve got it “figured out” - I’m happy. I’m healthy. I have goals. I have friends, family. The rest? I think it’s always changing. But this - me, my body and my mind, my core circle and my world - I can confidently tell my 20 years old self that yeah, we’ve got that “figured out”.
