  2. This week we had a huge surprise. Can you believe one duck sat on a nest and by herself hatched out 18 baby ducklings!!! Now they weren’t all her eggs. We have several ducks who decided every day to lay their eggs in the same old dog house. It turned out to be the perfect place to keep a nest of 23 eggs all safe and warm.   2. I tried real fresh cultivated blueberries for the first time this summer, and I was blown away!! I love snacking on wild blueberries when we go camping, but had never loved the ones from the grocery store because really don't taste good (and none of the local farmer's market vendors ever had them). So I didn't have high expectations going into the patch, but afterwards I just wanted a bigger bucket to fill and some blueberry plants of my own! We got to talk to the farm manager @blueberryknollfarm and I learned a lot about how they grow, how to know when they're perfectly ripe, and that the plants we harvested from were more extremely old (I don't remember the exact age but I was shocked!). The plants were just dripping with blueberries that tasted INCREDIBLE! I had no idea that they could taste that good. When I brought them home, I let me family try a few, but then hid them so I wouldn't have to share! Anyways, I am now a true blueberry fan, and I'll have to convince Dad to get us some plants and to take us picking this summer.   3. Today was an especially hard day. It marked our first trip to the ER with one of our children (perfectly timed during a pandemic). I can’t believe that in almost 9 years of parenting 4 children (@bri_norris calculated it at over 20 years cumulatively!) we’ve managed to avoid the emergency room, but here we are. While the experience was overwhelming in so many ways, I was constantly reminded by how incredibly fortunate we are to have such amazing health care providers here to help. The staff at St Joes comforted me and Fred and helped get him through his x-rays (a process he did not like). When the images came back showing a very clear collarbone fracture I welled up with tears. It’s going to be a tough few weeks for us, as this active little guy heals, but we’ll get through. Time for some rest, and back to the fracture clinic with my babe in the morning ❤️

Speaking of romance, it would be an injustice (they would know) to not include flowers into this dessert. Libras not only appreciate excitement and sentimentality of love, but of all the finer things in life. Lavender and honey play together beautifully in this dessert, but I wasn’t sure the best way to incorporate the flavours. Honey comb or candy? Comb or candy, comb or candy?   2. Un petit dimanche à faire du pain maison. Je recommence à avoir ce désir de cuisiner. La mélancolie de l’hiver s’estompe pour laisser place à ma petite fleur intérieure. Les dernières semaines, j’ai consommé énormément de podcast sous les conseils de ma maman. J’avoue que ça aider énormément à me retrouver. J’avais oublié de m’aimer.   1. This video is by @watchlumotv! They used to be called British Sign Languages Zone and I thought they disappeared until @LumoTV reached out to me explaining they rebranded! I felt this video was important to share and a good way to wrap up International Week/Month of the Deaf. Imagine being in a a world where Deaf people outnumber hearing people! Imagine if Deafness were the majority experience. The natural visual language which is sign language would be the standard. Children would grow up surrounded by fluent signers, learning effortlessly at home, school, and in the community. Visual alerts and designs would be built into cities, workplaces, and technology as the norm. In this world, speech might be treated the way sign is often treated today: as a clumsy accommodation, tolerated but not respected. Spoken words could be considered “less intelligent,” “less professional,” or even “unrefined.” Those who relied on speech might face stigma, barriers, and constant reminders of their “deficit” in a signing world.   2. A beautiful fuck! Finally put it together. Just need detail the flowers and leaves then it's completed. I noticed I put the K wrong (the skinny right leg should be on top) and I honestly don't give a flying duck because this is the first time in months I've been creative.
