  1. I never considered myself an “angry person.” I was humbled when, very quickly after starting my relationship with @theozgraggen (my biggest mirror), he said to me: “You’re one of the angriest people I know.” 😨🤯😡 I took offence because I didn’t identify with that. Then I looked back at my history… at all of the (adult) temper tantrums, at the yelling and kicking and screaming (yes, as an adult), at the immediate defensiveness, at the blatant aggression during conflict, at how, after I would come home from a yoga class in high school, my mom used to tell me “thank god you do yoga, because you’re always so calm and nice after” I realized, okay maybe I do have anger. What I also had was a very heightened nervous system from childhood trauma, and extreme emotional sensitivity from just being me. When I go into “fight or flight” I am 100% a fighter. I hold compassion for my younger self as I work on understanding myself better, meeting my own needs, and regulating my nervous system so I don’t feel so threatened in my everyday life. Now hear me out… ANGER IS NOT “BAD.” It’s a very valid emotion that NEEDS to be felt and expressed. But how we choose to (safely) feel and express our anger matters. There is a fine balance between honouring/feeling your emotions and letting them take complete control over you and your life. Thankfully I’ve learned tools along my journey to help me feel and release that deeply rooted anger and I now get to share them with my clients. I wanted to share this because I know how overwhelming it can be to not know how to control your emotions, to hurt the people around you, and think somethings wrong with you. There’s nothing wrong with you. And we don’t need to carry our past into our future. With greater awareness comes greater responsibility for us to show up as the person we want to be. Creating safety in our own bodies is the place to start. Lots of love to you on your journey 🫶🏻

  3. Honestly sick and TIRED of continuously seeing “perfect” toxic positive shit on social media, especially in coaching world - people hiding behind masks saying “look at me, I have it all figured out, my life is AMAZING, here’s how you can do it too!” I think that’s bullshit and inauthentic and I’m NOT here for it. Can we all just be genuine again? Show our humanness again? Our real faces and bodies and fears and struggles and not just our highlight reels? Show me the parts of yourself that you HATE. Show me the parts of yourself that you hide from the world. The parts of you that you feel aren’t worthy of love. The parts of you that you’re ashamed of. The parts of you that scare you. Show me THAT side of you. Those parts of you are fucking beautiful and screw ANYONE who has ever told you they’re not. I’m EXHAUSTED of trying to show up “perfectly” so that other people will like me. I’m aware of my own wounds but now I’m finally making the changes I need to feel free. I am a VERY emotional person but instead of seeing that like a curse, I’m harnessing it as a gift and learning how to embrace and love all sides of me. I took this video to show you a very real anger release process that I do when I feel dysregulated and PISSED OFF. I don’t care what you think about me, what you say about me, or how you see me. I am just a reflection of you. If you’re reading this, I know you’ve had moments by yourself where you’re cried your eyes out in the middle of the night, feeling lonely and lost and scared. I know you’ve been so angry and hurt and betrayed that you felt your body shake and you wanted to cause the same type of damage that was done to you. I know you’ve cared so much about what other people thought about it you that you’ve silenced your true voice and expression, stopped listening to your heart, and changed into someone you thought you needed to be to be liked. I see you. And I love you. Let yourself be free. Let yourself be human.
