  1. Disney just released a short film about infant loss, grief and hope — it’s called Versa. it is less than 10 minutes long, with no dialogue, but words were not needed Versa was made after @malconpierce lost his precious son, Cooper the film features a couple and their dance through the joy of being pregnant, the devastation and destruction of losing their baby, the grief that separated them and the rebuilding of themselves - not back to who they used to be, but into new versions — with beautiful, gold filled scars why are films like this so important? it gives the loss community validation, a chance to be seen and better understood… i know i felt so deeply seen, and i loved that it featured a couple and depicted how grief can be felt so differently did i watch this 10x? did i sob my way through? you bet if you are a loss parent or you love a loss parent, i highly recommend you watch thank you @malconpierce and keely for sharing your Cooper with us. his legacy lives on through this and will touch so many other aching hearts 🤍 moana was already such a special movie for our family, but we will never watch it again without thinking of your boy have you seen Versa yet? what did you think? (ps: it is on disney+)

  2. it wasn’t enough, it could never be enough, but still i feel so lucky to have had them 🤍 when i lost my daughter vienna, i had already supported over 100 births i knew birth. i knew how to advocate. i knew what to ask for. i knew how to navigate the medical world… but even then, i was still incredibly, completely, and utterly overwhelmed at the same time, i couldn’t stop thinking about the women who didn’t have the “upper hand” that i had who walked into the hardest moment of their life with no information, no guide, no birth experience, no one to tell them what was coming next, or the life changing options that they had we got 24 hours in the hospital with vienna we kissed her. we hugged her. we read books. we danced. we sang to her. we took a million photos and videos. we had her dedicated. we visited her in the funeral home every day until we drove her body to the crematorium everything we got to do with her might horrify some people, but to a loss mom — these decisions, the opportunities I was able to have with my daughter meant… everything. my life is forever changed because I got to have them. in some weird twist of fate… in the aftermath, i felt grateful i knew how to make them happen that is one of the biggest reasons i made Held Through. so that in the middle of devastation, other mothers could have the opportunity to make informed choices — and know that they have options.. literally life changing options no woman deserves to walk through the most impossible decisions of her life without support that’s why Held Through exists 🤍 if you are preparing to say goodbye, or are in the middle of loss right now, or picking up the pieces in the aftermath — whether your loss was in the first, second, third trimester or your infant died — you deserve loving, compassionate, and informed support. Held Through is here to walk you through every step 🌷 comment or DM me HELDTHROUGH and ill send you more details 🤍

  2. A Hoppy Easter indeed 🪺 We are excited to announce a new addition to our family - coming September 2023 ♥️ Almost at the half way point, I haven’t shared much about my pregnancy - although I am happpy to feeling back to myself, and we are all very excited to see our family grow! Navigating our own journey after losses, as well as working so closely with many fertility patients, has made me a little hesitant to announce. Not because I’m not happy, and not because I don’t want to openly share my own story, but because I want to be respectful of those struggling with their own fertility journey each and every day. I feel so grateful that I get to work with so many amazing women and couples, working towards their goals - whether it be preconception, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, hormones, etc., and entrusting me to help achieve them! The last year has taught me more than I expected to learn, and although it was a time, it’s made me a more empathetic practitioner, one who feels driven to dive deep into the assessment and treatment, and bridge the gaps in the fertility world - helping more people grow and support their family. ♥️♥️♥️

  3. Well Baked Baked Goods Recipe Book is officially published and live 🔥👏🏻. 60 gluten-free, dairy-free, and naturally sweetened recipes (and more than half are vegan friendly). These recipes were created and tested by us and many of the well baked box users when we first started our business back in 2020. They are delicious and nutritious - high in fiber, protein and healthy fats! This recipe book is a labour of love - we divided the recipes into multiple sections: chocolate bars, scones and muffins, cookies, pastries, seasonal baked goods, and some others that just had to be included in a miscellaneous section! Now live for presale on our website www.wellbakedbox.com We are hoping to start delivers and shipments the first week of July! There is also the option of picking up locally ♥️. Thank YOU so so so much for all the love and praise and support throughout the last few years! Taking a pause on the baking mixes was hard for us but we wanted to create this book until then! . . . . #wellbakedbox #guelph #downtownguelph #kwawesome #guelphmoms #kwmoms #glutenfreebaking #smallbusinessontario #glutenfreedairyfree #elorafergus #guelphontario #rockwoodontario #cambridgeontario

  3. ✨We need to remind ourselves more often that the human body was created to HEAL. 🛑If a symptoms presents itself, that’s your body’s RED LIGHT saying something isn’t right. A lot of the times we take that sign and cover it up with a medication or simply brush it off without asking ourselves WHY it’s happening in the first place. 👉🏼I ask every single new patient that walks into my office if they know WHY they have the headaches, fatigue, pain, stiffness, sleep issues etc and the answer 98% of the time is no, they never got answers. 👉🏼So my question to you is, are you looking for those answers? Do you know why your body isn’t functioning and healing? Schedule an appointment with me and let’s get to work✨

  1. Do you often find yourself reaching for carbs and sugar, battling bloating and constipation, facing recurring UTIs, or spotting that white plaque on your tongue? 🍞🍰🤔 It could be a sign of candida overgrowth, which is an overabundance of yeast in your body! But don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Candida overgrowth occurs when the natural yeast balance in your gut becomes disrupted, leading to these unpleasant symptoms. The good news is, you can help your body get back to balance naturally with diet, lifestyle and specific supplements. Curious about how to begin addressing candida overgrowth and achieving a balanced body and mind? Book a complimentary call with me (free), and let’s have a chat 📞 Ps. 2. QUICK & EASY GUT-FRIENDLY LENTIL BREAD 👇🏻👇🏻 This is a vegan, gluten free, grain free and high protein & fibre recipe 🫶🏻 For this lentil bread, I highly recommend soaking the lentils from 8 to 24 hours and adding 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to make it easier to digest. 🍞 Ingredients: * 1 cup dry green or red lentils, rinsed * 20g psyllium husk * 1 1/2 extra virgin olive oil * 1 tbsp baking soda * 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar * 60ml water 🍞 Method: * soak the lentils, then drain it * preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C * add lentils together in a food processor with all the ingredients (I didn’t have one, but I recommend to have this recipe blended nicely) * add the apple cider vinegar and baking soda last * shape the lentil bread rolls by hand * bake for 25 minutes until golden brown. Let it rest for 15 minutes. Like if you want to see more easy healthy recipes like this! 🥑 exciting thing coming up next week!! 3. I’ve always been curious about color analysis, but for some reason I never got around to giving it a try. Well a few weeks ago I finally decided to go for it, and let me tell you: it was great. What’s interesting is that my experience wasn’t just about finding the right shades to wear... it also felt like a mindful practice as well 🧘🏻‍♀️ Sitting there with Lena, surrounded by those different colours, I felt like it wasn’t only about picking what looked good on the outside. It was really about tapping into something deeper – something that felt truly aligned with me. As she was also explaining how certain colors could enhance my natural features, it got me thinking about how the colours we wear can impact not just our appearance, but also our mood and energy levels. At the end, I felt like by simplifying my wardrobe and learning how to choose colours that truly resonate with me, it’s like I’ve unlocked this whole new level of self-awareness and self-care. Getting dressed isn’t just about putting on clothes – it can be a mindful practice, a way to do things with intention, and a way to see health with holistic lens. Holistic living for me is about living intentionally, being mindful, and understanding mind-body-soul connection. And how we get dressed is also part of living with purpose and nurturing the harmony between our mind, body, and soul. How are you taking care of your health, holistically? 🫶🏻 thanks so much for your tips and tricks, Lena! You’re very knowledgeable and professional, and I can’t wait to learn more from you! @mhimage_

  1. B A B Y 💕 d e N o o i j ::: Coming January 2026. • After an almost 10 year fertility journey — this is an announcement that I have been excited to share. However, with everything that has happened in the last couple of months—it also comes with a lot of sadness -to be on this journey without Eric by my side. For anyone who knew Eric - you know just how much he wanted to be a father— and just how great he would have been at it. Through years of fertility treatments, medications, ultrasounds, injections, pregnancy tests, miscarriages, a rollercoaster of emotions and so much heartbreak— we always faced it together. One week before Eric passed away we went to our first ultrasound together and we heard the heartbeat 💓. It felt too good to be true— and we were apprehensive because of all the losses we had over the years. As we walked into the radiology clinic feeling extremely nervous— he looked at me and said: “No matter what happens today - we always have eachother”. It was something I never questioned. The day that Eric was rushed to the hospital I was 8 weeks pregnant— and all I could think about was how in the world could this little baby ever survive this horrible traumatic event. The last 2.5 months have been filled with all the emotions that you could ever imagine. So much sadness, heartache, tears —but so much gratitude as well. This year has definitely not gone the way I thought it would. My life has been turned upside down in ways that my heart, mind and soul could never have imagined. This grief journey has been the hardest thing I have ever had to face—- but this little Boy that is growing so perfectly inside me is such a beautiful miracle 💓 Sending love to my incredible family, friends, community and network of amazing people who have been showering me with so much love and support through this really challenging time. I love you and am so grateful for you 💓.

  2. My Handsome Eric ♥️// I am heartbroken + utterly devastated to announce the passing of my wonderful husband Eric this past Monday from a stroke. To say that I am in shock is an understatement. He was my heart, my partner, my life, my home, my everything— I just can’t imagine a world without him in it. Thank you to all my family and friends who have been helping me through this nightmare. If you know Eric, you know just how many people this has affected. Our family, friends, community and his entire EMS family have been left with a giant Eric-sized hole in their hearts. He gave of himself everyday—with his kind words, helping hands, big smile, quick wit and dry sense of humour. There was no one else like him. If you would like to attend his Celebration of Life, please reach out for details ✨

  3. 32 Weeks! 💓 I am not sure where the time has gone— but I figured I should document this as I am sure I will want to look back and remember this little growing boy at this stage of pregnancy. I think the universe has given me a pass on all of the physical symptoms because I couldn’t feel better and I couldn’t have been luckier to have the very best pregnancy I could ask for. Emotionally the last 5 months have been the hardest that I have ever had to face. To be on this journey without Eric has been so hard. We had dreams of experiencing this together. I wish he could experience the baby kicks, listening to the heartbeat at appointments with the Doppler, watch my belly grow. I wish he could be with me through the Birth Education Classes, learn all of the comfort measures and get to know all of the other couples expecting little ones around the same time as this little babe. I wish he was here to go through hand-me-downs, put his name sign up on the wall and build all the baby furniture with me. I wish he was there meeting the midwives, the doulas and my OB, mapping out the route to the hospital, packing the hospital bag and making all the plans. Not only is it hard because I know he would just LOVE all of it— but because there have been so many times through this when I have needed my best friend. I feel so my gratitude every day that I get an opportunity to be pregnant. I am excited (not fearful) of birth — because there were many times over the last 10 years that I never thought I would have a chance to experience it. I am so excited to meet this little boy in 8 weeks from now, but I am also trying to savour this moment in time. To feel all the emotions, to be present and to experience it enough for both Eric and I💕

  2. We are happy to announce that our sweet little rainbow baby is due in September ⋒ Sharing this news is exhilarating, yet nerve wrecking all at the same time. As an Acupuncturist who specializes in Womxn’s health and who currently has many clients who are facing fertility challenges or who have experienced a recent miscarriage; sharing my joyful news gives me so much heartache. It’s hard to explain how mixed my emotions are, but I know that I want my clients to know that I’m still here for them, I’lll continue to provide compassionate care and I’m ready to support them wherever they are on their journey. I’m happy to finally be open with this personal news! It’s been quite difficult for me because being pregnant after a miscarriage is hard. It’s been challenging mentally, emotionally and physically. I want to be open about this pregnancy and I just hope this news isn’t triggering for any of you. With sharing this pregnancy after my loss, I wish to provide hope to those who are still on their journey to their little rainbow babies. I can’t wait to watch my belly grow, so stay tuned for updates on my journey ⋒ #pregnancyafterloss #pregnancyannouncement #pregnancyaftermiscarriage #septemberbaby #september2021 #babyspots #spotelec

  3. We are happy to announce that we’re expanding our family in October 💙 Sharing this news is exhilarating, yet nerve racking all at the same time. As an Acupuncturist who specializes in Women’s health and who currently has many clients who are facing fertility challenges or who have experienced a recent miscarriage; sharing my joyful news gives me so much heartache. It’s hard to explain how mixed my emotions are, but I want my clients to know that I’m still here for them, I’lll continue to provide compassionate care and I’m ready to support them wherever they are on their journey. I imagined the third time I got pregnant that I’d get a positive test and instantly share with the world- but for some reason we share the news at just over 21 weeks. Being pregnant with a toddler is a whole new world of exhaustion and this pregnancy has been so different to the point I was thinking that it’s a girl. I can’t wait to see Owen as a big brother 💙

  2. I could literally talk about boundaries all day long.. The most important thing to remember - parents make decisions on boundaries for the safety, security, and wellbeing of their child. It's not anyone else's decision as to what those are, and they should be respected. *as always, these are my personal thoughts and experiences as a mom. 3. Happy 1 year to us. We did it! The hardest year of my life. There were a lot of moments this past year I really thought I couldn't do it anymore, and a lot of moments I really wished I didn't have to. Now that we've made it out the other side, all I wish is time would stand still exactly where it's at because where we are now is just the absolute best and I want to soak up every single little giggle and dance and smile. Goodnight my baby boy, see you tomorrow, a 1 year old 🤍🤍 (this song got me through many a car ride and tough moment, it was only fitting I used it, and who knows, maybe it will help someone else, too)

  1. ONE YEAR 🥳 To the dream I always had but never thought I could achieve… A year ago today I took what was my small business at the time and rebranded it into what is now known as my Chiro Kid and Chiro Mom workshops. It is absolutely crazy to think of how much my programs have grown since this time last year. I started with 15 registered participants last year on this day and today we wrap up week 1 of series 1 in year 2 with more than 80 registered participants in the program. Thank you to all of you for sending your family, friends, coworkers and acquaintances my way. My programs would have never grown so fast without your love and support. Nothing makes me happier than seeing strangers become best friends - watching your babies attend each others first birthday parties, going on playdates outside of class, having a girls night with the other Moms from class - it just warms my heart so see was has evolved from my workshops. Today I celebrate all of the Mama and baby friendships that have been made in Chiro Kid and Chiro Mom. Thank you to Kristina from @barelytouchedphotography for forcing me into this photoshoot and somehow pulling off this very last minute. Can’t wait to see what is to come in 2024!💕

  2. Last week was one for the books! Being part of this year’s Hamilton 40 Under 40 was such an honour. To be recognized for doing something I truly love is humbling…but to share that moment with my cousin Angela from @aykay.group made it even more special. We’ve been cheering each other on since day one, from childhood memories to big life goals, and celebrating this milestone side by side was such a full-circle moment. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve both come, and how powerful community and family support can be. Feeling incredibly thankful for the families, kiddos, and community who make this work so meaningful every single day. Your trust, your stories, and your little ones are what keep me inspired to keep learning, growing, and giving back. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey and for reminding me why I love what I do. - Dr Adrienne 🤍

  1. We never imagined we would be making this post. What was meant to be a beautiful experience bringing our baby into the world became the worst days of our lives. On Tuesday at a routine midwife appointment there was no heartbeat. In an instant everything changed. The last 72 hours were filled with shock fear and an unbearable reality. We learned we had to let our baby go. I gave birth to our daughter knowing she would not be coming home with us alive only her ashes. After more than 30 hours of waiting pain and exhaustion we met Mayes. Her sweet innocent face. Her tiny hands. Her little button nose. Lips. Knowing the cord took her from us is something we will carry forever. Our home feels painfully empty. We do not yet know how to exist in this space or what comes next. Mayes took up real space in our lives in our plans our family our future. Everything shifted the moment we knew about her and nothing will ever go back to how it was before. We do not believe she felt pain. We need that to be true. But we feel it now in our bodies in our minds in every quiet moment. We have searched endlessly for a reason. There is not one that makes this make sense. She changed us permanently. This will define us. It will not defeat us. We love you Mayes. I love you. Your dad loves you. Our families love you. To the nurses and care team at Northumberland Hills Hospital; Tania, Jo, Shelley, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Dr. Hameed, thank you so much for your compassion and care during the hardest days of our lives.

  1. CHICKEN BROTH 🥣 bone broth is known as liquid gold to many as it has so many healing properties. It is rich in vitamin C and collagen from the bones and connective tissue and it has glutamine which helps to repair tight junctions in the lining of your digestive system. many use it to soothe digestive upset, bloating, intestinal hyperpermeability, skin issues and so much more. it’s no surprise that this has been used in so many cultures for thousands of years. ✨ how I make mine: • the remaining part of a chicken, or 1 bag of bones from @blossompureorg - or an organic butcher near you • 2-3 carrots, roughly chopped • 1 large onion, quartered • 1 head of garlic, chopped in half • 1-2 tbsp salt (depending on desired saltiness) • 1 tbsp red chilli flakes • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar • 1 sprig Rosemary or any desired spices add all ingredients to a slow cooker and top with water. cook on low for 8 hours * alternatively, if you have an Instant Pot you can cook on high for 2 hours and naturally release. strain and jar in glass jars. freezes really well! use it for your favourite soups or just enjoy on its own🙌🏼

  2. chopped veggie and bean “salsa” to dip your favourite tortilla chip or cracker into.. all summer long👌🏼 Dice up whatever veggies you have on hand … peppers, cucumbers, red and green onion and add a can each of chickpeas and lentils. Top with toasted pumpkin seeds and the green goddess dressing: • 1 cup spinach • 1/2 cup basil • 1 garlic clove • 1 small shallot • 3 tbsp olive oil • 1/2 cup cashews • juice of 1 lime • salt to taste (start with 1/4 - 1/2 tsp and add more as needed) • water to reach desired consistency (start with 1/4 cup) the KEY is to keep tasting the dressing as you’re making it and add whatever you feel it needs! not salty enough? add more salt! kind of bland? brighten it up with some more lime!

  3. easiest “non-recipe” recipe ever. mango pops for the hot summer days! • 1 cup frozen mango • 3/4 cup coconut milk • optional: 1 tbsp honey blend up, pour into molds and freeze until solid. ENJOY!🥭

  2. 🦊 It’s been over a week since we welcomed Bébé Hugo Lagassé into the world. He came on his own timeline in our 41st week weighing 7lbs 12oz. It was worth the wait - his entrance progressed fast & I had a beautiful natural birth that I can only describe as the most out of body, surreal experience I’ve ever lived.✨ It’s been a whirlwind so we are still recovering & finding our groove, but we have been so grateful for the support of our family, friends & rockstar team of service providers along the way including our amazing doula @yourbirthbestie.katrina & lactation consultant extraordinaire @advancedlactationcarewinnipeg. Couldn’t imagine not having such an all-in, hands-on, supportive & loving husband along for the ride with me either - like I knew he was the best but they don’t prepare you for how you’ll feel seeing the love of your life fall in love with the little human you created together.🥹 Last two photos are the evening before I went into labour & 1 week postpartum with my scrunchy boy.🥰 We’ve chosen to be pretty minimalist with Bébé’s online presence post-newborn stage but send me a DM if you’d like to be added to my Close Friends list for some extra story content.

  2. Poor posture? Read 👇🏻 for more tips! Postural tension and rounded upper back is such a common challenge for students, new moms, desk workers, drivers, and those who look down all day! Chronic postural strain can lead to rounding with an apex in the mid thoracic spine, or the upper thoracic spine. The best ways to correct this posture? 💥Be aware! Sit up, shoulders back, and lift your head! 💥Stand up, take breaks, move your body, and change your position frequently throughout the day 💥 Mobilize your thoracic spine using a foam roller or other device 💥Strengthen the muscles between your shoulders (rhomboids, trapezius, external rotators) to help bring your shoulders back and down 💥See your Chiropractor and get adjusted regularly for optimal alignment and function! #posture #posturetips #spinalhealth #spine #nervoussystem #chiropractor #chiropractic #familywellness #selfcare #stratfordontario

  3. What do these 3 things have in common? ⁉️ 🏋️‍♀️LIFTING (any type of weight from the floor)… ⚡️LOWER BACK PAIN (that keeps coming back)… 🤰Recently HAVING A BABY (one or more!)… It’s all about BRACING, and the importance of the awareness your core strength. This is something that I talk to my clients about every day in my office. Here is why: 1️⃣ When we lift objects from a level below our waist - whether it be a barbell, a bag of groceries, a child, or a backpack…we need our core muscles to support our spine and pelvis. When I say “core”, please don’t think about your abs, or that 6-pack (even if it’s hiding in there somewhere 😜). Our core wraps our body and supports our midsection- from our diaphragm to our pelvis - front, back, sides, top, and bottom. Pressurizing our core protects our internal organs and our spine. Core bracing is essential for light and heavy lifting, and without it, you may be setting yourself up for injury ⚡️ 2️⃣ If you suffer with chronic lower back pain, it is often highly correlated to a lack of core stability. Your spinal and pelvic joints require proper movement and innervation from your nervous system, but they also require stability. Movements and exercises that allow us to focus on bracing our core are a vital component of spinal health. 3️⃣ When women grow in pregnancy, the stretching of the midsection can lead to weakness in the ability to brace the core. This is why so many new moms have trouble with their core strength and can suffer from lower back or pelvic pain. Gentle and progressive exercises to improve bracing can really help! 🤰 I’ll be sharing some core bracing tips in the near future, but in the meantime what would you like to know about core bracing? 👇🏻👇🏻 #corestability #bracing #lowerbackpain #weightlifting #pregnancy #postpartum #wellness #pelvis #core #women @stratfordchiro

  1. Your supporters will cheer louder for you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This past Sunday, I ran a 1:44:51 half marathon and hit a personal best which I am so proud of. This running journey was more than just a race time, it was healing in a lot of ways. There were so many moments during this training block where I wanted to quit.
Cold winter weather.
Long runs alone. Early mornings in the gym when no one was telling me I had to workout. And the only thing holding me accountable was the training schedule I wrote for myself. But even though parts of the journey felt lonely, I didn’t reach this personal best alone. There were friends who met me for runs even on bad snowy days @stephgrace77 ! Early morning run clubs at Barry’s holding me accountable (shoutout to @lannymo for always reminding me to book in for class!) Lagree classes that kept me stronger for my runs. And the friends, family, and clients who continuously checked in with me and asked me how my training was going or who sent me all well wishes before race day. That support meant more than you know 🫶🏼 I’m not the fastest runner, but I’m really proud of how far I’ve come this year. Last March, my average pace on runs was 5:53–6:15 min/km. Now it’s closer to 5:00-5:30 min/km. But what meant more to me than my pace, was how strong my body felt during this training block. And the truth is: I actually ran less. For the last 4 months my training consisted of: • 2 runs per week
• 3 strength training sessions
• 1 Lagree session some weeks About 5 training days per week total. Prioritizing my strength training made the biggest difference for me this time around. My hips felt stronger. The hills felt easier. Long runs took less of a toll on my body. And my recovery felt better even as the speed runs got harder and the long runs got longer. On the days motivation wasn’t there, I kept reminding myself of one thing: You can do hard things. If you surround yourself with the right people, you start to thrive in ways you never expected. Spend your days with people who uplift you. And to anyone who wants to start running, I say, go do it, because truly anyone, can be a runner 💕 #halfmarathontraining #torontorunners

  1. Hey Friends! Today is the day and I am so excited. About a year ago, I started the journey of co-creating a book with an amazing group of women, and now you can pre order the book. It feels so surreal to know that in less than two months, we will be holding this incredible book in our hands. Excerpt from Chapter (chapter 9, ‘The Feisty Dance’): “Did you know that a big complication of childbirth is postpartum depression and anxiety? Did you know that 1 in 7 women will experience postpartum depression or anxiety? Did you know that 1-2 cases out of 1000 births will experience a more serious perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, like psychosis? I was one of those statistics…. Strong mama, all that energy you’re putting toward trying to be okay, could be going toward restoring your vibrancy, investing your strength selectively, and making the kind of difference you’re here to make.” I would really love and appreciate your support. By buying directly from me, not only are you directly supporting my author journey, getting a signed copy and receiving a small gift, but you will also be donating $2 to MotherReach in London, ON and supporting pregnant women and new moms who struggle with depression and anxiety, all for $30 CAD. LINK IN BIO to purchase your signed copy! My goal is to sell 103 copies in a month!! 😀 ————————— LOW/ NO COST ways to support me as an author: * Add the ‘Woven’ book to your “to be read” pile on Goodreads.com or on your wishlist on Amazon before it even comes out - this signals to retailers that people want this book! * Pre order a signed copy * Share, share, share the book on socials and tag me to help others discover it! AND IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO DO MORE: * Bulk order for your clients, groups you are part of, for your clinic, for your book club, community, friends, family, a gift for someone, for a giveaway! * If you plan to order 6 or more books, message me for bulk pricing ❤️ Thanks so much for your love and support along this wild journey of becoming. With deep gratitude, Leanne

  2. As a settler on this land, Deshkan Ziibing (Thames River) reminds us that my sacred home rests upon the traditional homelands of the Attawandaron (Neutral), Anishinaabeg, Haundenosaunee, and Leni Lenaapewak people. This territory falls under the London Township Treaty and Sombra Treaty 1796, and the Dish with One Spoon Wampum. I am a proud Canadian AND I am deeply disturbed by the genocide of indigenous children & people that continue to be recovered. This Canada Day was about reflection instead of celebration because our community is grieving. We have a lot of work to do moving forward. As a social worker, I am not naive to the fact that social workers were a significant part of the 60’s scoop, taking children from homes and placing them with white people. As I continue to unlearn, learn, educate myself and others, I am mindful of the history the profession I have chosen holds. In the TRC, out of the 94 calls to action, there are direct calls to action for social workers. Working in two different sectors (higher education & community healthcare) I am committed to do better. I am committed to challenge myself and peers to take action and decolonize/ indigenize educational spaces and learning opportunities as well as close the gap for indigenous folks accessing healthcare, specifically maternal mental health and infant mortality. Things you can do today: • read the TRC and the 94 calls to action • learn what land you live on and who it belonged to. Download “whose land” app to learn about treaties and territories near you and why land acknowledgements are important. • write your MP and ask how they are advocating for the TRC to be implemented. @assiniyiskew has templates already created for you to use. • donate to @atlohsa I continue to hold space for those who are grieving. 🧡 Residential School Crisis Line provides 24-hour support for people impacted by residential schools: toll-free at 1‑866‑925‑4419 What are you doing to take action? • • • #cancelcanadaday #indigenouspeoplesday #awarenessinspiresaction #everychildmatters #orange #turtleisland #landback #landacknowledgement #learn #unlearn #reflection

  3. TWO WEEK WAIT (TWW) The TWW window and coping with trying to conceive anxiety can be a challenge because pregnancy and period symptoms are so similar! Top 3 tips to get you through the TWW: ⭐️ make a plan for when you will test and go easy on the pregnancy tests... you want to avoid setting yourself up for disappointment. ⭐️ start a new hobby or healthy habit during the two week wait to keep you busy and your mind distracted from obsessing over every symptom you experience. ⭐️ get support and find your community of people that you can lean into for support, validation and who can lend a listening hear— the people who “get it”.
