For wines, especially red wines, the flavour notes can be impacted if the wine is too warm or too cold. The blackcurrant and subtle spicy notes of the wine blend with the velvety & semi-sweet chocolate in the soufflé😋 Wakefield Wines guarantee that every bottle you purchase will be enjoyed at the right temperature, based on the precision temperature sensor on the back of the label. So, cheers to more Cabs and even more chocolate!🍷🌡️🍷 Recipe for the Soufflé below: Recipe: 1Tbsp butter + 1Tbsp sugar for the ramekins, 1C chopped dark chocolate (70%), 1Tbsp butter, 3 large egg whites (room temp), 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, 2 large egg yolks (room temp), SF powdered sugar , Crème Anglaise and raspberries for topping. Instructions: 1) Remove the top rack of your oven and preheat to 400F. 2) Grease ramekins with butter and then coat the edges with sugar. Place ramekins in the fridge. 3) Melt & stir chocolate over medium-heat in a double boiler, and once melted, stir in butter and set aside, keeping warm and starring occasionally to prevent the chocolate from setting. 4) Place egg whites and tartar in a large bowl and whisk until soft peaks from (not stiff). 5) Fold eg yolks into the chocolate until smooth paste forms, then gently fold in 1/4 of the egg whites at a time into the chocolate mixture until a smooth, semi-thick batter forms. 6) Divide batter between ramekins and run your finger through the edges. Bake in the oven for 13-16 minutes until risen. They will start to drop once out of the oven which is normal.   2. I learned about Ukraine second hand. From the experiences of my family (too many uncles, aunts, grandparents, great grandparents) living under oppressive Soviet rule. They escaped war, occupation, they were kidnapped and or jailed by the Soviets. I learned about Ukraine from the songs my family would sing at major holidays & ceremonies (like my wedding) - either seasonal, religious or national. I'd watch their eyes well up longing for the country they once called home.  I learned about Ukraine watching my baba and many other babas cook their local delicacies. They ensure we taste a bit of Ukraine and their love for it in every single bite.  I learned about Ukraine from my daily school, from my teachers born here and there and in Saturday school, Plast, and church. From excellent teachers, administrators and volunteers who tried to share what Ukraine was and is.  I learned about Ukraine through the arts staring at all the Ukrainian folk art many of our boomer parents collected and inherited. The beautiful depiction of pastures, villages, Ukrainian traditions, costumes and everyday life. I learned about through Ukrainian dance and the concerts we performed. I learned about Ukraine from writers and poets who documented Ukrainian life & struggles under Soviet occupation. They made art in the most difficult of times with the most famous being Taras Shevchenko. His words are so highly revered we don't just sit when they are sung, we stand in respect to honour him and all Ukrainians.  His words still evoke such emotion from Ukrainians 200 years later because things haven't changed. russians are still trying to destroy Ukraine and Ukrainians. For centuries our lives, art, songs and everyday lives are framed by Ukrainians love of their culture, traditions and struggles by aggressive Soviets trying to destroy all of it. Ukraine is unbelievably rich in culture, traditions, with a beautiful language, land and people. Perhaps they are simply jealous of the sheer beauty of Ukraine. Думи Мої.
