  3. To say I am proud would be an understatement. I just had to step back and let her go. She was leading me and she enjoyed every moment. Coaches and parents out there - the result doesn't matter - at least it isnt where the lessons lie. The way they show up, the way they accept their nerves and learn to manage them. And above all to coach them to enjoy competing! I remember feeling disappointed when I didn't finish where I wanted, or if I skied out. But what always stuck with me and kept me coming back was the joy in executing the race run and being in the gate. Guide your racers towards seeing that competing is an energy that can be exciting and fun. And then watch them soar. I have no idea how far my kids will go in racing, but I know that whatever they learn here will serve them well with wherever they go later on 💪 #competition #skiracing #alpinecanada #u12coach #sunandsnow

  3. I heard it’s #NationalThriftShopDay ! Those that know me know that I LOVE thrifting and close to 90% of my closet is thrifted or secondhand. Why do I thrift? It’s more sustainable & ethical than purchasing new (obviously the most sustainable & ethical thing to do is wear what you already have in your closet 😋), I LOVE giving used clothes a second life and when I thrift I find more unique pieces that fit my style and stay permanently in my closet. Also there’s nothing better than finding something your on the hunt for in a thrift store am I right?!   2. This is month 19 of surfing the Greats for a few friends and I. 🌊. I’m so incredibly grateful for our small surf community & the mutual stoke that keeps us present & looking ahead together in these uncertain times. Surfing Lake Huron, Georgian Bay & Lake Superior has been humbling to learn how our waters can build to ocean like conditions. Last season the Lakes didn’t freeze so we surfed & skied all last winter. 🏄🏼‍♂️⛷✨ 2020 was a tough year of change, loss, struggle but it also brought me growth, family time, strength, patients, resilience, ability to adapt, quality time with friends, my best year of surf, a new bike & the love of my life!
