  2. As many of my friends and family know, I have been on a journey of holistic health for over a decade. I spent many years learning and reading on my own, starting with Alejandro Jungar, to Anthony Williams, to religiously reading Weston.A.Price Foundation. These authors, healers and doctors made me realize the power of nutrition on our physical and emotional health and how we can truly change how we feel by modifying the foods we eat. When covid happened, I had a really hard time wrapping my head around the worlds reaction to a virus. Covid was a catalyst for change for me. I started to feel very bogged down by social media and realized I needed to revaluate where I spent my energy. So I decided to take a step back, get off social media, and direct my energy towards something I had control of and that was EDUCATION. I spent two years, reading, studying, taking night classes and 💯 determined to becoming a CNP and striving to make a meaningful difference in peoples lives. Today, on the 2nd day of Persian new year I got a special call from Jason, our campus manager/program coordinator, that I was graduating with first class honours and was also chosen by my peers as the valedictorian of the graduating class. What a way to ring in the new year! I don’t know how to put into words the emotions I am feeling! There is nothing more special than being recognized by your peers, and knowing you had a positive impact on a learning environment. Never feeling good enough. Never meeting my own expectations or feeling like everything I did was "bad". During one of those emotional challenges I even carved that word into my thigh. . Now I am lucky that my trouble did not go further that that. I survived. My scars faded. And my mental health grew stronger through Faith, family and friends. . But some are not so lucky. So when I saw this amazing collaboration between @brittanykolbasocial and @becdesignbanff I knew I wanted to help. They created these amazing earrings in the shape of a semicolon. Because in literature a semicolon is used when an author chooses not to end a sentence and used as a symbol of hope to those battling depression. They created this to raise funds for the Build Them Up Centre at the Alberta Children's Hospital. The center works with youth and family to better identify and manage challenges before they result in crisis. .
