  1. Flashback 6 years ago today. It was a gorgeous morning. There was already a light dusting of snow on the ground and as I walked out into the streets to the car, the snow falling everywhere, all I could think was that this was going to be the best day of my life. When we got to the hospital there was paperwork and waiting and then finally around 7:30 they brought me into the OR. As I sat on the table and chatted with the anaesthesiologist he said to me ‘you’re so calm’ and my response was ‘only good things can happen for me today’. And then at 8:40 you were there. They handed you to me before they took you away and for that moment we locked eyes and I knew you were my soulmate. I knew that I would spend the rest of my life protecting you and manifesting only the best things for you. Here we are today, 6 seemingly short years later, no snow, quite a warm day in fact, and you still are the absolute light of my life. You look like Papa, talk like me, but you truly are your own person! You’re funny and kind, extremely empathetic and sensitive and the most creative and imaginative person I know. From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep you have something to say. I love this life with you and though I can’t wait for what you will become and all the things you will do, I will focus on each and every day and savour these moments. Happy birthday my heart. Mama loves you!

  2. What can I say except for that I might be the luckiest girl alive. This weekend was absolutely perfect. Even the weather cooperated. Thank you thank you thank you to my friends and family who joined in this Celebration of Life and Love. Im still on a high from this unforgettable experience. If this is what the new decade is like I can’t wait.

  3. 10 years ago I landed in Düsseldorf to live with my love. It seems to have gone by so fast and slow all at once. With so many memorable things to have happened along the way. I’ve gotten married, had our girl and met some of my very best friends. To say I love it here would be an understatement. This morning as I did a few of my favorite activities (working out and going to the market) i thought how lucky I am to be here. They say home is where your heart is and my hearts here in Deutschland.
