  1. if you are feeling your every muscle work except your LATS in these… try this ⬇️ A common technique mistake I see is people thinking the aim is to bring your arms as far back behind you as you can to ‘squeeze’ your back together.. and ‘pulling with their hands’ with a super tight grip on the handles. Doing the first form is causing two things to happen: 1️⃣ You are losing the tension on your lats almost entirely and likely shifting to other muscles that you will feel working like your traps and forearms. 2️⃣ And secondly, you are putting your shoulder in a compromised position when loading up the weight pulling your elbows excessively far behind your body. My best pointer cues for you to try fix this would be as follows: ⭐️ Loosen your grip, and think of your hand being more like a ‘hook’ that’s lightly holding the attachment. ⭐️ Lead with your elbow, think ‘elbow driving to hip’ staying low and relaxed in your shoulders. ⭐️ Squeeze your ‘under arm pit’ at the top, instead of trying to squeeze your shoulder blades together just think of coming back into a position where your arms are in line with your torso and you could almost hold a pencil under your armpit crease. Let’s get growing that sexy back you’ve always wanted and do it pain free 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

  2. minor tweaks for major change.. so small you can barely see them, but they FEEL completely different 👇🏼 to maximise the most out of face pulls for your rear delts… 1️⃣ think less about bringing your shoulder blades together and more about leading with your elbows to bring them in line with your body at the pull position (not too far behind you) 2️⃣ have an overhand ‘knuckles to face one other’ grip as opposed to the neutral grip I see very often being performed 3️⃣ think high elbows and as the name suggests pull toward your face rather than squeezing down low the first form is of course not entirely incorrect but you will just target a lot more traps than rear delts which is our main aim for that sculpted looking arm and shoulder region 🫡

Down here 👋🏼 The leg press machine is SO versatile in its ability to be able to target so many different muscle groups with such slight shift in stance on the platform… Leg press CAN truely be amazing for glute growth, IF: 1️⃣ You are using a high + narrow stance: See that nice vertical shin at the bottom of my reps??? NO knee-over-toe action (knee flexion), means minimal quads AND maximum glute stretch. 2️⃣ You use ROM properly Slamming HUGE WEIGHT for tiny partial reps is doing nothing for the glutes. They work the most in the stretched position, no range of motion, ain’t no stretching happening here. 3️⃣ You incorporate a little time under tension Slamming the weight around way too fast is likely going to result in using other supporting muscles taking over and less work coming from your target muscle (the glutes) or just straight up hurt your joints. and the arguably most important one: 4️⃣ It feels GOOD for YOU Every body is different. If an exercise just never feels good for you, there’s probably something else more optimal for your anatomy: ^ just make sure give it a go multiple times first before throwing it in the first time because it doesn’t feel perfect.

  2. Still on Cloud 9 after the best day ever😭❤ When I registered for this earlier in the year I knew absolutely nothing about triathlons. I couldn't swim 25 metres, I didn't have a bike, and I had never ran longer than 10kms. To say I was a beginner was probably an understatement🤣 Yesterday I swam 1.9kms, cycled 90kms and ran 21.1kms- completing my first Ironman 70.3. I genuinely don't think I have ever felt so proud😭 Thank you so much everyone for all your beautiful messages and to the best cheer squad that supported me on the day. The atmosphere and support was so insane, I genuinely loved every second.. Big thanks to @katie_downunder @craigy313 @aish_fit @northcoasttriclub too for all the last minute help, and thanks Katie for letting me wear your tri-suit❤ I'll be high on life for the week I think😅

Views and thoughts along the 80km track from Hamelin Bay to Howard Park🌴🌊⛰️ My prep obviously wasn't ideal for this due to injury but I had no pain going into the event so I was really excited to participate. The furthest I had ran prior to last weekend was 45km and in the last 12 months I had only clocked up a total of 480kms. I knew this wasn't ideal but I was still in a really good mindset going in injury free😁 The course is broken up into 5 legs with a checkpoint of water and food after each leg. ▪︎Leg 1 began in the dark. This leg was actually beautiful as it was nice and cool, and I was so distracted by the whole event I almost didn't even feel like I was running. This is also the shortest leg at 11.5km so it was a really nice start. ▪︎Leg 2 was around 14-16km (not entirely sure). This one was through the forest and it was probably my favourite. I felt like I enjoyed every second. ▪︎Leg 3 was around 20km. The scenery was insane but I had heard how hard this one was so I was mentally preparing for the challenge. This is where the sand started. Running/ walking along long stretches of sandy beach. I was looking for wetter/hard sand but there was none- nothing but soft deep sand- FAB!!🙃 ▪︎Leg 4 was also around 20km. We had just started and I saw that the trail lead us back down onto a beach. I thought the sand running was over but I was very wrong. But once again the views were incredible, I was in awe. Bush trail along the coast. We hit the 50km mark and I was surprised how good I felt all day after hitting that distance. I had never ran that far before and I felt really excited. It started to get really hot. I regretted not eating proper food at checkpoint 3 as I was so sick of gels. But it was too late now- gels it was🤢 (Continued in comments)

I’m still pinching myself that it happened, that I was there, that I did that. 4 years in the game, I never would have imagined I’d have the chance to fly half way across the world to compete against the best. Not only that, to have these 4 humans fly over and be there every step of the way was something else 🫶 @kpow_thekid the coach who swore he’d never coach me. Thank you.
