  1. I always run by myself I don’t have a running community I don’t have someone who runs with me every single time Is it okay? Absolutely Is it fun? Yeah, I still enjoy it Would I want a running community? Absolutely, why not? But if I waited for someone to run with I probably wouldn’t have started my running journey at all Running alone is both beautiful and ugly Beautiful because I get the time to clear my head To release stress To just worry about myself and my pace Ugly because almost everything feels better when shared with someone And I can’t deny that What I’ve learned as a solo runner is this The running community is naturally welcoming Every race I’ve joined Every place I’ve run I’ve met people who smile Who start small conversations Who make you feel included without trying too hard You won’t reallly feel left out Most runners are sooo nice and supportive So if what’s stopping you from starting Is the thought of being all by yourself Take it from me It’s not as scary as it looks Running solo might even surprise you If you run with a community, that’s amazing And if you know groups I can check out Let me know in the comments

  2. If there’s one thing i learned in a marathon that no training can teach you, it’s how powerful it is to run alongside people chasing something that matters to them. i saw people smiling, limping, sprinting, crying. 
faces twisted in cramps. 
legs barely moving but still moving. 
and eyes that refused to give up. you don’t need to ask their reasons. 
you just know. 
because you feel it too. 
all of them reminded me why i can’t quit. we were all fighting something that only 1% of people will ever take on. 
and in that moment, it didn’t matter who was fast, slow, young, old 
we were all just trying to make it. and i did. 
i crossed my first marathon finish line. 
and i’ll carry that feeling forever.

I thought of quitting more times than I can remember lol My first official 32km race was a rollercoaster of emotion Trust me I uttered words I didn’t even know I knew I thought of all the foooood I deserved after the race I came up with so many reasons to convince myself “it’s okay to not finish” I mean... I signed up for this on my own Knowing I’d run this distance And now I’m out here complainiiing But while that’s all true Every time I thought of giving up There was also a reason to keep going I know my feet stopped workiiing at 15km But for some reason, my mind didn’t let me quit And eventually… I did So if you’re training If you’re tired If you’re thinking of stopping Just know you’re probably waaay stronger than you think And you don’t have to feel strong the whole way You just have to keep showing up Even if it’s slow Even if you walk You’re still moving forward

 I came to AirAsia’s grand open day last June 11, bringing with me my determination, hope, ambition, and eagerness to pursue my childhood, mom’s, and the dream I thought was long gone.
