  1. Why your weight might go UP before it goes DOWN (especially after 35) 👇 Moms! this is your sign 👀 Follow @leannachanco for easy weight loss & high-protein recipes. If you’re in a calorie deficit but the scale isn’t moving or even goes up it can feel frustrating. But most of the time, it’s not fat gain. Here are a few common reasons the scale fluctuates 👇 🥦 More veggies & fiber If you’re eating more vegetables and whole foods, there’s simply more food volume and fiber in your gut. That extra weight shows on the scale temporarily. 🏋️‍♀️ Harder workouts When you increase workout intensity, your muscles experience tiny amounts of inflammation as they repair and get stronger. This can cause temporary water retention. 🧂 Higher sodium intake A salty meal can make your body hold onto extra water for a day or two. Totally normal. 🌙 Less sleep Poor sleep raises cortisol, which can cause water retention and scale fluctuations. 💪 Muscle soreness Sore muscles = inflammation = temporary scale bump while your body recovers. 🌸 Hormonal changes Your cycle, stress, and life changes can easily move the scale 1–2 kg in a week especially the week before your period. 🥗 Digestive adjustments When you start eating differently (more protein, fiber, whole foods), your digestive system needs time to adjust. ✨ The key thing to remember: If you’re consistently in a calorie deficit, you are not gaining fat even if the scale fluctuates. Progress isn’t always linear. Your body is simply adjusting, recovering, and adapting. . . . #tptbis #trusttheprocess #fatlossjourney #weightlosstips #healthyhabits womenover35 hormonehealth fitnesseducation nutritiontips scalefluctuations consistencywins healthylifestyle wellnessjourney

  1. [📍🇨🇦]: Since 1751! Soup dumplings or fried buns? I like both equally usually, but the soup dumplings were the winners for me at @qinsgardencanada for sure. - Bonus: the largest soup dumplings in the city. Toronto’s lucky to have the 1st North America location of this hidden gem soup dumpling restaurant founded in 1751 from Wuxi, China. @qinsgardencanada ’s 🥟 have 260+ years of history, from 4 generations. Their signature is their Crab Meat Soup Dumplings. - My Experience / Pro Tip: definitely add the chili. Ask for the biggest bowl for the juicy dumplings to avoid a mess. The server might say they don’t have any big ones they can bring, but if you show @insta.noodls video here capturing the juice, they will understand how messy it could get and will bring you one. I really liked their pan fried dumplings and it might’ve been my number one. The pork and vegetable wonton soup was flavorful and great too. I packed it to go and enjoyed it the next day. - 📍: Qin’s Garden - by Spadina and College street - [Invited] 🍡🍵Thank you very matcha to @qinsgardencanada for the wonderful experience! ⁣ #danfromjapan #danfromjapanTO  -  🙋🏻‍♂️: Share, save, like, and follow @DanfromJapan_official for more matcha, Toronto, and annual 2023+ Japan trip content or fun facts about Japan coming up. ✨ - 🇯🇵🇨🇦弾  - Always open and would be grateful for any comments below for content requests or suggestions💯   #torontofoodie #torontoinfluencer #torontofoodblogger #torontoblogger #トロントグルメ #トロント生活 #トロント留学 #トロント #トロントワーホリ #토론토맛집 #多伦多美食 #토론토 #torontofall #torontowinter  #qinsgarden #xiaolongbao #小籠包  #torontochinatown #torontorestaurants #destinationtoronto #torontotravels #torontofood #torontochinese #torontochinesefood #torontodumplings #gtafood #xiaolongbao #soupdumplings

  2. I know December isn’t done yet but I still wanted to share what my 2025 has been like.. I started this year at 237.5 and today I’m currently in between 195-198lbs. If you’ve been following me for a while you may know that I lost 50lbs in 6 months last time. However I gained some of it back… This time it was different. This year it wasn’t about just losing as much as possible but instead it was about building the discipline and the habits to keep this as a LIFESTYLE. I will also say now that I have a bit more knowledge this time around I primarily focused on fat loss rather than weight loss. I’ve definitely built some muscle throughout this year and it showed through my progressive overload. That’s super exciting because I love feeling strong. Aside from workouts this was also a mental challenge for me. I’m a human being that goes through life as all of us do. So while I have goals I still have to manage my emotions and whichever conflict I go through. I still work 40+hrs a week and have to make sure I take care of myself (household chores, personal errands). I still gotta make time to see the people I care about and balance finding time for myself. I still have a life. But fitness is something that’s important for me and I had to stop making the excuses and start making the effort. Sleep earlier if you have to, turn your phone on DND, cancel plans, schedule time for cooking etc.. you have to figure it out. Especially if you want it bad enough! My journey is nowhere near complete but I’m thankful for all the experiences of this year, good and bad. God will see me through it all and I’m going to continue to win 💗 #weightlossjourney #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney

  2. It took me a lot of strength to write this. my father, Alireza Rasaei, passed away on Monday, right in my arms. After over 20 years of battling MS, he is finally at peace. My dad was a highly educated man with two master degrees, an encyclopedia of information and knowledge. He taught me about economics, politics, mathematics, poetry, literature and most importantly music. We conversed on diverse topics - he was the only person who truely understood the depth of me and my intellect. Up until his last breath he recited poems from old Persian poets like Hafiz and Rumi. When I was young, before his diagnosis, my dad used to take us hiking. He would wake up and workout - pushups and sit ups in the AM! We would stay up late to watch soccer, tennis and the Olympics - yelling at the TV when our team scored a goal! We watched murder mysteries and comedy - he loved Poirot and Mr. Bean, Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick amongst many others. I feel like I’ve lost a chunk of my flesh - I never knew pain like this. But I stay resolute that he is finally pain free. He loved me, my bother and my mom dearly - he never raised a hand or his voice. He staunchly believed in logic and reason and did not care to yell or use anger to get his point across. Love and compassion was his biggest gift - he showed me what it means to love someone till death. Thank you to everyone that helped him throughout the years - especially the ones who cared for him in these last few days. One of his biggest hobbies was cracking jokes and he continued making everyone laugh till the very end. I hope everyone reading this smiles and tells someone a joke in my dad’s absence. I also so dearly hope my country will be free one day… my dad would have loved to see that day. If you or a family member is suffering with MS - please reach out to me. “Death is a favor to us,
But our scales have lost their balance.  The impermanence of the body
Should give us great clarity,
Deepening the wonder in our senses and eyes Of this mysterious existence we share
And are surely just traveling through.” Hafiz 💔
