This picture was the first time we had seen each other again after Aidan left for tour (yes, it was near the holidays… he left at the end of September - You can do the math there). I won’t go into every reason why distance is hard, or why this year was particularly hard for us, but what I will say is that we have grown so far beyond the two guys in this picture, and despite an incredibly challenging year, I’m grateful for the growth, both as individuals and as a partnership. I’m grateful distance is DONE, f*cking hell, but I’m equally grateful for a year of memories with the North Country fam, a beautiful community who supported him when I wasn’t there and welcomed me in with open arms when I was. I’m grateful that the silver lining of a long term injury on my end was that we had a considerable amount of time together, all things considered, and we got to see and do so much across the country.
