  3. It’s been so long since I posted. I’ve been trying to get myself through January. I made it…so if you helped, thank you so much! I needed you! I wanted to share a bit of my progress. I know it seems like I’ve done this a lot before but the last few months have been different. On the right was my starting point and after losing nearly 14kg in the middle picture, I thought my journey was done. But now I look to the picture taken just this morning and realise that I had a different journey to go on! And it’s not over yet! My journey I feel will be a forever one; one that started out with an end in sight but now I understand my initial goal has changed the way I live my life…I never thought I’d be the person I am today and there have been so many folk that have helped me along the way and I want to say thank you to all of you! Pap of Glencoe, Scotland 🏔🙌 Been quiet on here lately as I’ve been planning my next adventure but I can now happily announce that in 10 weeks time I will be off to Nepal to embark on a 12 day trek with the ultimate aim of reaching Everest Base Camp!! 😅🥾 Buzzing beyond belief to experience the beauty of the Himalayas and see our planets tallest mountain up close.   3. Everest Base Camp - We made it!!! 🏔😅🇳🇵 What a journey but without doubt the hardest and most challenging thing I’ve ever done physically and mentally. It took every last ounce of energy to make it to Base Camp. Every step ascending above 5,000m is so taxing on the body and with us both having picked up a major cold this made it doubly exhausting with our sinus’s being completely blocked. Have never pushed my body to the limit so much and at times I questioned if we would even make it. It was all worth it though and the feeling of achievement and accomplishment once we made it was unbelievable. The views on the way to Base Camp were the best I’ve ever seen in my life. Was so cool seeing the Khumbu icefall and all of the tents up close. Would highly recommend everyone to visit the Himalayas at least once in their lifetime ❤️🇳🇵 Proud of @explorandus for making it too, she had such a bad cold but powered on like a little warrior 🤍 Couldn’t have made it without our amazing Sherpa’s also @nepal.rajendra1 and @dawa7265 We also made it up Kala Patthar (5,644m) the day after base camp but that’s for another day. Now on our way back down the mountain and will be relishing getting as much rest and sleep as possible. What an experience!! 🏔🙌 #everestbasecamp #nepal #5364m

MINDBODYHOLLY TURNS 1 🩷🥳🎂 This month marks one year of my little MBH fitness business and of being fully self employed 🥹 it’s crazy to think I started this Instagram page in lockdown to give people workout ideas and now it’s my full time job & income 🤯 I can honestly say that taking the leap of quitting my full time/employed nursing job and following my passion in fitness has been the best thing for my growth & happiness. It’s definitely not been easy, but has definitely been worth it! I celebrated this milestone today by hosting my first ever MBH team event, which after all the stress and planning was an absolute dream ☺️ how lovely to have all of my clients (that could make it), in one place and to create a little community amongst them 👯‍♀️ I want to thank all of my amazing clients for their continued support over the last year, as well as everyone else that has been part of my journey into the fitness space. B O D Y 🦋 C O N F I D E N C E ⁣& M E N T A L • H E A L T H ⁣ 🤍 1st pic: June 2016 (severely underweight, unhappy, unhealthy, exercising to be ‘skinny’)⁣ 🤍 2nd pic: June 2020 (bright, happy, content, healthy, energised & exercising to make my body feel fit, strong & healthy) ⁣ ⁣ So, I’ve been pretty nervous to post this because its personal to me and something I hold close to my heart. I’m also not one to share personal things all over social media, however I want to be a good example of a healthy lifestyle & I feel this subject is really important. ⁣ ⁣ For many years I suffered from an ED, an unhealthy relationship with food and poor mental health. It was the darkest time of my life & the most depressed I have ever been. I was not feeding my body with proper nutrition which in turn hindered my brain from functioning normally. My anxiety was through the roof, it was an unhappiness that weighed me down everyday. ⁣I am sharing this as I feel a lot of young girls and woman go through this. They look up to people on social media who ‘appear’ to have the ‘perfect’ body & life, when this isn’t true. Things aren’t as they seem.. social media can be deceiving ➡️ don’t believe everything you see. ⁣ Ever since I replenished my body, started to look after myself and love me for me, I have never been happier or as mentally stable. I am thankful for this journey as I am now able to share my experience & help others who are going through or have gone through something similar. I want to use my social media to promote health & wellbeing and to help as many people as I can ✨⁣ ⁣ Thanks for reading this if you did.
