  2. My love for designing traditional Nigerian wedding outfits is deeply rooted in my quest for Africa’s complete liberation from her colonizers. As a wedding dress designer, I often see brides prioritize what they call their “white” wedding over their traditional marriage ceremony—and it breaks my heart. Because what we often forget is this: that “white” wedding is the Oyibo man’s own traditional marriage ceremony. This realization shaped the very foundation of the TUBO brand—merging the timeless elegance of African heritage with bold, innovative design. We celebrate and empower women through meticulously crafted garments that honor both tradition and evolution. So, even though Kene wanted to simply drip in GOLD!!!!, our locally sourced coral beads had to feature in her look. We took a HUGE risk—she only saw her outfit less than 24 hours before her wedding—but we KNEW! This was an outfit no #TuboBride could resist and we have Kene’s raw, authentic, undiluted feedback to show for it! From Rita Dominic to Stephanie Ezeoba, the iconic brides in between, and now Kene Okonkwo (née Obiejesi)—you’ll always find the seamless infusion of culture, identity, and storytelling in every look we create. It’s who we are. It’s the @TUBO__ DNA. Dress – Meticulously crafted by hand and fully beaded from top to bottom with gold crystals and original, locally sourced African coral beads by @tubo__ Styled by @tubobereni_ Bride @kenesgloww African tradition is BEAUTIFUL 🤩 #IgboAmaka A celebration of heritage. A statement of identity. #KEGO25 #TUBOBride #TUBOWomen #IgboAmaka #AfricanLuxury #TradIsNotBasic #igbankwu #igbankwunigeria #igbankwunwanyi #KEGO2025 #TUBOBrides #TUBOWoman

  1. 1. The “burn” is overrated: The year is 2024 and I still hear gym girlies reduce their weight because they “feel” it more when they use lighter weights for exercises like hip thrusts. The burn is simply a build-up of lactic acid which is a completely normal reaction but isn’t enough to stimulate muscle growth. Muscle growth occurs in response to mechanical tension and one way to do so is to lift heavier weights. The muscle needs to seriously feel challenged for it to grow. I’ve always taught you to treat your glutes like every other muscle in the body. Is your form good? If yes, then load that bar! As I always say to my clients, some of you are not lifting heavy enough for the bum bum that you’re looking for. 2. To build any muscle, you need to focus on getting stronger: Any weight that you can comfortably perform 12 repetitions with and for as many as 4 sets is definitely not challenging enough. A sweet spot would be somewhere around the 6-8 rep range with a load that is challenging enough yet doable with proper form, especially if you’re not a total beginner. 3. There is absolutely nothing special about oats: Anywhere there is an oat slander, I will be there! There is no one food that has any special effects or can magically locate your bum. You simply need to not play with your protein intake and eat a lot more than you currently do and keep it clean to a fault. Bulking is not an excuse to consistently stuff your face with meals that provide your body no value in the long run. I hope you find this helpful. Save for later. 🫶🏽 . . This is not me sneaking back in like I wasn't MIA for quite a while, I needed the break okay? 😭. I'm here for you now. 😘 #glutes #gluteworkout #fitnessmotivation #womenwholift #legday #gymgirl

  3. Not meal prepping last weekend had me in the kitchen more often than usual😆. Took a break from the gym for a few days, for the first time in sooooo long. I look forward to my next session, I already picked the fit. 😔😅 #womenwholift #mealideas #healthymeals #gymgirl #fitnessmotivation
