I’ve made idols out of things I didn’t even think possible, ANYTHING you put before the Lord is an idol. I’ve leaned very quickly that the Lord will take things away from you to remind you WHO gave it to you in the first place . It’s not bad to have nice things, it’s not bad to want relationships, jobs, money or anything material, however it becomes an issue when you desire those things more than a relationship with God. We put more effort into making money than making time for the Lord. We open up social media more than we open up our Bible. ANYTHING can be an idol. Ask yourself what’s something I put before the Lord, and be honest with yourself. I caught myself beginning to idolize social media and yet again… my physique. Personally, I found that idolizing something came from wanting external validation. I cared about things that made me look accomplished. They gave me earthly value. So I pray, “Lord even if I don’t have this thing, you are already more than enough. My worth is not defined in material objects, relationships, social status or physical attributes. I chose to put you above it all. Allow me to denounce these idols immediately, In Jesus name, Amen.”

Most times the Lord changes us inside out. It’s so important not to judge an exterior because you don’t know where the Lord is working on their heart. “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen - Isaiah 60:22. I want to reiterate this is MY JOURNEY. Me sharing where God worked on me does not diminish where anyone else might be. All of our stories are different. The lord delivered me from dressing lustfully and using my body to not only get attention, but it as a way to define my worth. He delivered me from drinking to get drunk and developing an unhealthy relationship with food & alcohol. He delivered me from depression, cause let’s be real, I was not happy. I could go on and on but taking time to allow that Lord to prune me and develop me as a woman will ALWAYS be worth it

PLÁTANO MADURO PROTEIN ICE CREAM 🍌🍨💛🇩🇴🇵🇷 yes, you heard that right! 50 grams protein and all natural ingredients 🫣 perfecttt for a sweet treat that helps you maintain the gains 🏋🏽‍♀️🫶🏽 i don’t even like sweet plantain but when i tell you this was BOMBBBBB !!! one of my fav recipes, a must!! ingredients 🍌🍨✨ - 1 cup fried plátano maduro (i used avocado oil, you can use an air fryer!) - cinnamon - coconut sugar - 2 cups milk (i used whole milk, use your choice of milk just be aware the macros might change) - 2/3 cup greek yogurt - 2-3 dates - splash of vanilla - one scoop whey vanilla protein - splash of maple syrup - pinch of salt how to 🍌🍨✨ 1. fry plátano maduro pieces and coat in a cinnamon/coconut sugar mix (set some aside and chop to mix in later) 2. blend milk, plátano, greek yogurt, dates, vanilla, whey protein, maple syrup, and salt together (can use extra coconut sugar if needed) 3. pour into Ninja Creami cup and freeze for 24 hours 4. Remove and use lite ice cream setting on Creami 5. Mi gente, save this for your next protein dish 🍽️ Shrimp 🍤 1. Season with oregano, garlic, adobo, sazón, onion powder, black pepper, lime 2. In a pan, sauté freshly minced garlic, red onion, red pepper, green pepper, and tomato in butter and olive oil 3. Stir until slightly soft, then add the shrimp 4. Cook for about 10-15 minutes on medium heat until it’s looking juicyyyy Guacamole 🥑 1. Dice tomato, red onion, and cilantro 2. Combine together and add avocado, lime and salt Green Sauce 💚 1. Add greek yogurt, cilantro, garlic cloves, lime, salt, black pepper and a splash of avocado oil to a food processor 2. Blend until smooth and drizzle-worthy. I prefer it as a runny consistency, but if you want it more creamy add more Greek yogurt/avocado Tostone Cup 🍽️ 1. Peel and cut tostones into pieces 2. Initially fry until golden, making sure not to overcook as well be frying again 3. Using a lime squeezer or deep tostone masher, add some avocado oil and mash small portions of the fried tostone pieces together to create the cup shape 4. Fry for the second time on medium heat, making sure to get a crunchy texture 5. Add salt to all cups, guacamole, shrimp with its sauce, and drizzle the green yogurt sauce on top 6. I still remember waking up a year ago, hugging my wife, and saying, “We get to meet our baby girls today.” 🥹🙏🏽 Filled with excitement, anxiousness, and nervousness, we looked at each other, smiled, and said, “It’s go time!” Born prematurely at just 2 and 3 pounds, spending 40 days in the NICU, enduring more doctor’s appointments than we can count, and making it through a year of sleepless nights… today, I am proud, grateful, and honored to celebrate Ivy & Juni on their very first MIRACLE birthday! There was a time during our journey that we were told.. We have to just wait and see if they make it! 💔 Those words still replay in my head often. But GOD.. He had another plan!! We had a VILLAGE of people from all over the world praying for them daily, and we knew His hands were on our girls. 🙏🏽 To EVERYONE who has been with us throughout this entire journey, thank you for loving, supporting, and praying for our family.   1. On Nov 13, 2023, almost a year ago now, I married my person, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. When I did my exit interview with my producer the next day, I was asked if I had anything else I wanted to say and I broke down in tears; tears of overwhelming gratitude for everything that had just happened to me over the past 6 weeks. I turned down the offer to go on the show twice and when they called me to push for the third and final time two weeks to go until filming, something told me that if there was such thing as fate, this is probably what it looks like. I had very little hope that I’d meet someone that I’d connect with let alone someone that I’m compatible with in every way. Someone for whom I feel such a deep and unconditional love. Someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I fell in love with Taylor in the pods for her humor and intellect, then I quickly found myself enamored by her looks, playfulness, and our partnership in the real world. Every day with Taylor is the best day of my life. We never would have met in the real world and even if we had, it never would’ve worked. And for that, I’m forever grateful to @loveisblindnetflix for bringing us together and giving us a chance to fall in love before our pragmatic brains decided it’d never work. Because here we are making it work every day, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m also incredibly grateful to our entire crew for documenting our love story @laurenwesley @sevenbillionrats @lilmissjackiesunshine and many others.   3. This morning I was listening to a song that said “Lord, fix it for me”—and I had to pause because that’s exactly what God did in my life. When I look back at this time last year, I was broken.
