  1. We have our own little home set up with more than enough to get us through. It may not be the premium facilities I'm used to but I still have to wait for the equipment and the only other member smells so it's just like being at the gym 🤣 Martin needed to use all the plates to deadlift so I did a mostly banded workout. Bands actually work really well on your smaller muscle groups and they are a space and money friendly way to add variety and resistance. Need help with exercise ideas? Reach out and I'll help you with a plan. Make sure you take the time to exercise. If not for the sake of fitness then at least for your mental health. Being cooped up inside watching the news is the worst thing you can do. Distract yourself.

  2. Quite often this thought used to cross my mind: "maybe I should lose some muscle so people can think I'm attractive." It's pretty messed up how my self value was based on other people accepting me. People who don't know me, my story or give an actual damn about me. Remember if you do things because you think it will make other people like you, then you are allowing others to control you. Work on accepting yourself first.

  3. Opportunity presents itself in weird and wonderful ways. With all the hoopla, it seemed inevitable that my competition would be postponed and today we got the final confirmation that it's been pushed back 6 weeks. Things are still uncertain, who knows what will happen between now and then but it's still very much one foot in front of the other as I now have the opportunity to be peeled to the eyeballs and bring an EVEN BETTER, completely shredded package to the stage.

  2. when was the last time you’ve done something for yourself and took control of your own thoughts and willpower? for me it’s my commitment to train and show up everyday. there might be times when i have NO motivation to get up because it’s freezing or i didn’t get enough sleep the night before or my tummy is causing discomfort or it’s my time of the month, whatever it is, i don’t look for motivation’s presence. motivation is fleeting. i would find myself low on motivation and this becomes my biggest excuse. this is why i learnt to rely on DISCIPLINE. and like all skills discipline can be learnt. if you practice and when your discipline strengthens everything becomes second nature. you’re able to say no to the voices that’s pulling you down and fight off of all negative thoughts.   1. so i turned 20 today and i think its time i address this publicly and openly, i have a very very rare version of an already very rare autoimmune disease called vitiligo. this usually affects the colour/pigment of the skin on someone's body. however in my circumstance i have it on my facial hair. i cannot change this, it is incurable. i will more than likely have it for the rest of my life, it will likely spread too. yes i have had a brown moustache before its because i dyed it to hide an insecurity. it isn't exactly easy standing out in a crowd having a two toned moustache. wherever i go whenever i go out, i will always hands down get stared at, glanced at, looked at strangely, i get comments wherever i go typically "there's something on your lip" "why'd you bleach or dye your moustache" and many more. I'm not bothered by it anymore after years of this happening, however i felt the need to express what it is i actually have to not only open people up to the condition but also hope to inspire others with the condition or any condition to not be ashamed of who you are, you are you for a reason, don't ever let yourself get down due to an "imperfection" or "irregularity" everyone is different and it doesn't change who you are. keep on being you. ❤️ #vitiligo #awareness

  2. 💥 MEET CELENA 💥 Long time friend, Celena joined Adelaide Hills Women’s Fitness Studio in May 2023. Since having children Celena has jumped from gym from gym trying to find a ‘fix’. She barely ate, absolutely point blank refused to eat carbs and consumed far too much wine. I believe she needed some tough love. Some reaaaallll tough love ☠️ So I gave it to her straight up. I’m a straight shooter, I could see the pain in her eyes, she was so lost, I was losing my friend. I told her if you want to lose the weight, quit with the bullshit excuses, eat some fucking food and get off the booze. I told her I wasn’t putting up with any bullshit, to knuckle down and just fucking do it. I told her to listen to me. So she did just that. Cutting out wine and increasing food, in particular her protein intake, has had a significant impact on Celena’s overall health and body composition. It became clear that she was making a huge commitment to her well-being, acknowledging her demons and boy oh boy is she seeing the results. Initially her focus was on losing 22kg, she did that, now her focus is to build muscle and maintain healthy lifestyle changes. Celena is weight training 4-5 times per week, she is really strong, and we are setting small goals each week. She finally trusts the process and is unstoppable! I am beyond proud of this woman, her confidence and happiness is soaring 🪽 I could write so much more but I’ll leave it here. If you don’t think you have what it takes you do.   3. This is one year of growth... physically and mentally. I look back at that first photo and see a woman who was scared to eat more - even though I knew I needed it to build more muscle and increase strength, but my mindset was holding me back. I was so scared of putting on weight, getting "fat" and going back to an old version of myself - very overweight*, unhappy and unhealthy. BUT since working with my amazing coach, and being surrounded by so many inspiring, uplifting, strong, healthy and fit women, I have learnt SO much about nutrition, training, fuelling my body (and mind), and how much we can shape, adapt and change our bodies IF we put the work in. Who would have thought that the difference between these two sets of photos is 2kg on the scale, and an extra 1,000 calories - daily (which will likely increase again soon)! I'm not saying that it's all been rainbows and unicorns (it hasn't!), and it can certainly be confronting and uncomfortable along the way, but that's how we as humans grow... by pushing ourselves OUT of our comfort zone, that's where the magic happens. It's a hard truth to swallow, and I remind myself of it all the time. Cannot wait to see what the next year of growth holds for me as I am feeling stronger and more determined than ever to push myself for the greatest results.
