London Marathon training plan Sunday April 7th: “complete 20km easy run” 📍 Berlin half marathon So I programmed “easy pace” splits and stuck to it as planned but honestly it felt bit harder than I had envisioned. The heat was hella surprising but as with all activity it’s a moment to learn something. Learnings: Go in the start funnel that suits your pace. I started late and for pretty much the whole run I was dodging people like I was playing space invaders. If you have a race plan… stick to it. When in new territory, run on effort levels not on pace, with the numbers there’s a whole lot of guess work involved unless you’re an experienced runner. Last one.…Race vest went crazy!   3. This is what it stems from. From a baby my family have support me in everything I’ve ever done. The long nights my mum & dad would drive me to and from dance classes every day of the week and weekends it didn’t stop. The money to pay for trains to go and train in London which turned to flights over the world to watch me perform. The ups the downs, the losses iv had and the wins. The times I’ve wanted to give up and lost belief in my self. No one sees this. You only see my highs on social media. These were the people to keep me going through out and never give up on me.   3. Last night my world as I knew changed yet again. 💔💔💔 My grandad; my Bapa, the man who became my second father after I lost my own at such a young age, has transitioned to the other side. He certainly did it on his own terms and it gives me the greatest comfort to know he will be greeted by my ancestors as he arrives in Akshardham (heavenly abode). I am truly the most luckiest person in the world to have spent all this time with a man with who taught me so much despite our daily disagreements 😅 He waited for me to let him go and needed the reassurance that I will be ok without him. How could I hold him back but when all he wanted to do was rest. I gave him the ultimate gift and that was to fly high in peace and to not be scared because death is the most bravest choice you can make. To let go fully and surrender. I am so proud of him for choosing a pain free path where he didn’t struggle for too long. I am beyond proud of my sisters who have been taking care of not only my grandad but my wellbeing. You have given unconditionally and together we are a force. That moment we got together with Grampy will forever be priceless. They alongside my 2 aunties (fai and kaki) who have been phenomenal in ensuring my grandad was comfortable and well looked after every day whilst he was in hospital. Being on dialysis at night meant I couldn’t just drop everything and go to the hospital but they did it with ease despite their own pain and grief. Thank you to my grandad’s best friend who held his hand and helped keep him calm. It was so precious to hear just how much their love was so pure. His dedication for my grandad’s ease was beautiful to see and know. 🙏🏽 My world has definitely changed but I’m yet to meet who I will be once I begin to heal my broken heart. I request for personal space as I navigate this insurmountable pain and loss and try to figure out what happens next. We were all with her in her final moments and she went peacefully. We don’t really have the words right now, but we know how incredibly loved she was by all of you and how much she enjoyed sharing her story with you all.   3. REBELLIOUS OPTIMISM Hi everyone, I know know you’ve all been really worried about me; this past week has been really tough for all of us, I’ve just not had the energy to update you all. My daughters have been reading your messages out to me and updating people where possible. I can’t thank you for your kindness and your thoughts during this particularly challenging time. I finally got to my appointment today with Professor Peter Schmid. We had a conversation that I was half expecting - he thinks that I’m not strong enough to have Trodelvy because it’s so toxic. His main concern with Trodelvy is my liver function and the fact that my general health has deteriorated so much. The only other alternative at the moment would be to try something a lot gentler (methotrexate and cyclophosphamide combined) to hopefully stabilise the cancer even slightly, and improve my numbers. This week I had one temporary drain fitted in hospital, which was removed after they drained almost 6L of ascites. I’ve now had a permanent drain fitted, which gets drained every couple of days by a district nurse. I am also on oramorph which is liquid morphine, to help with the pain.   2. One entire year since I stepped into my Pilates era 💫 I turned to pilates last year when I was going through a pretty rough time and I can hand on heart say it’s been such a blessing. In April 2023 I developed a condition called tinnitus due to stress and overexposure to loud sounds. Tinnitus is a constant ringing or humming in your ears and best believe when you live for moments of silence (like myself) the struggle has been immense and a huge adjustment. I have been conflicted whether or not to open up about this due to the nature of my work, but it’s becoming more and more evident that awareness around this condition is so important - especially for my fellow instructors! Managing this condition has been a wild ride to say the least, especially when I work in an industry that thrives off of loud music and intense surroundings. I will always have a passion for these spaces however for my mental health and wellbeing I decided to shift my focus to a softer practise. A practise where I can still connect with people through the power of movement but in a much more mindful way. I am so lucky to have perfect hearing after multiple scans and I am coping well. But I wouldn’t wish this on anyone as it’s a really scary place to be, so please take the precautions you can - earplugs, or simply adjusting the volumes in your iTunes or Spotify settings! Protect your ears because hearing loss is irreversible. June 2024, over a year on, I have been fully diagnosed and can finally say with a smile that I’m ok. Some days are easier than others, I’ll get overwhelmed and need a lot of space, but ultimately I’m good and pilates has been a pivotal part of the process. This is all to say that our bodies have a weird and wonderful way of communicating with us so please pay attention. Health first always 💫 #pilates #tinnitusawareness

  3. We’ve been keeping a little secret… Baby Guy due July 2026 👶🏻🍼🤍 Honestly, the best news we could have ever received. If you knew the journey it’s taken to get to this point, you’d understand just how blessed we are feeling, truly on cloud nine. I never talk about this but to be fully honest with you this journey started back in 2022. Each year since, it felt like a little part of us was quietly undoing. I can’t really explain it, but we just didn’t feel whole. Even through the most beautiful holidays and trips, there was always that underlying sadness that never quite went away. I’ve never really mentioned it because I know people go through worst things in life and I never want it to come across as a poor me situation. I’m so sorry if this post affects you in any way, because I’ve been in that situation. Many quiet, private teary breakdowns. And while I’ve been lucky to have support around me, it’s still an incredibly lonely journey.
