Slowly making my way from the ground up to a standing position. Honestly, my best sequences always come from just getting on the mat, moving, and noticing what feels good (and what doesn’t). That way, the cues land better and the progressions actually burn. Steal this one for your classes. Bit of block work with a spicy shoulder, oblique + glute focus. Your clients will either love or hate you for it. 🤝🥹😏 If you’re trying this at home, hold each combo for 45 seconds. Stick to the one side of the body, before repeating and working the other. Strength-based, Pilates-inspired workout 💪✨I love how heavy weight training helps me grow my glutes (work in progress lol) and sculpt my lower body, while Pilates leans out my upper body and tightens my core. So finding that perfect blend has become my favourite way to train and no gate keeping here so I’m going to share it with you. I started with 30 minutes of incline walking, in the hope it would motivate me to do more… and it worked, so I ended up smashing a full workout. Glutes, inner thighs + obliques focused circuit: 1. B Stance hip thrust 2. Elevated lunge, hinge, rotate 3. Second plié pulse, heel rise, stand 4. Copenhagen side plank 5. Elevated 3 x pulse oblique knee drive 6. Elevated side plank + row 7. Weighted knee tuck 8. Scissor criss cross 9. Hanging oblique knee tucks * 10 x reps of everything * Complete everything on one side before repeating on the other * 4 x rounds (so twice on each side)

  1. CLIP INS ✨FAQ✨⬇️ 1. 100% don’t recommend sleeping in clips as they can cause breakage and be uncomfortable. However, sometimes I do sleep in them but it’s no more than one night and my hair is either wrapped or in a ponytail. 2. Clip ins can damage or cause breakage if you aren’t careful installing or removing them. 3. My hair is heat trained. However at times it does frizz up a bit due to my daily workouts and/or weather but not too much. I try to keep as much heat out as possible so if it gets to frizzy I switch over to my kinky textured clip ins. 4. I always use 2 packs of clip ins because I like my hair full with lots of volume. Also, I have a smaller head so I need more of the smaller sizes. I’ve realised that when I start to be extra critical of myself for resting, it’s a sign I actually need to rest more The more critical my brain is, the more my brain is trying to protect me and keep me safe. Except it’s way of doing that isn’t helpful in the modern world - more helpful running away from predators than deciding to whether to do more admin. Whereas before I used to listen to that critic and push past what my body can cope with. I used to always come to the realisation that I wasn’t lazy, I was just really tired. Now I notice that negative voice and recognise it as another clue that my body needs me to slow down, before I overdo it. I truly believe we are not lazy or unmotivated humans and if you feel that way it’s worth checking in on why instead of just believing that false narrative.   2. A consistent exercise routine is hard. It’s even trickier with chronic illness when we have big barriers that can stop us from moving. Daily fluctuating symptoms can make it really hard to get on the mat, to the gym, out the door for a walk etc. Sometimes taking away the smaller barriers that get in our way help us overcome the bigger barriers. Sometimes that means changing what we think exercise should look like. Many times for me movement is in bed or on the sofa. I cycle in my pyjamas 80% of the time and I often cycle without anything on my feet despite spikey footplates because the effort of going to put shoes on puts me off cycling. Sometimes my exercise is only as long as it took before my food has heated up in the microwave. And sometimes it’s me doing a few stretches whilst I’m waiting for Jimmy to go to the loo outside.   3. We are incredibly grateful to announce that (all going well 🤞🏼) our baby boy is due in Feb 2025 🤍 This pregnancy is something we have wished for, for a looong time. As always, chronic illness makes everything more tricky from early pre-assessments and weaning off medications the last few years, to a lot of negative tests before we had our magic positive 🥹 My heart goes out to anyone on their own fertility journey or having to make hard decisions due to their health🫶🏻 We are so excited AND it’s been awful 😅I have been really unwell thanks to hyperemesis (constant throwing up) which has added another layer into an already high risk pregnancy. Thank you for all the messages of well wishes and concern that I vanished from insta. I’ve missed this community! Firstly I have just been in survival mode and my energy has been on seeing clients. Secondly, I couldn’t come on here without being authentic and telling you what’s going on 😅🫶🏻 I hope to be able be around more, even if I’m still mostly hugging a toilet 🫠😂
