  2. And that’s a wrap! Still can’t believe that I’m officially done with my PhD after 4 insanely stressful (but ultimately rewarding) years. It’s bittersweet to leave a place where I’ve been both a doctoral and undergraduate student, but I’m excited to start a tenure-track assistant professorship at a new institution in the fall. 🤗 More details on that another time… for now, some thanks are in order! First off, thank you to the friends and family who helped me celebrate over the past two weeks, which has now become a blur of champagne, karaoke, dancing, and bbq. (Especially big thanks to my PhD wife @maureenxiv for flying in for my party!) BIG thanks to my amazing cohort—I do not know how it would have been possible for me to get through these past 4 years without their love and friendship. Thanks to my students at UGA, who gave me motivation by reminding me why I was doing this PhD in the first place. Thanks to my wonderful colleagues at the @hargrettlibrary for giving me the chance to share my research with the wider public and expand my curatorial skills. Biggest thank you to my husband @jmiket for everything that he does for me each day and for being my best friend and biggest supporter for the past 17 years.
