Here’s🩸Part 1🩸of Lucy’s wedding dress costume for the @society.of.salome Halloween walk! 🍂🍂 This is my first time recreating a pre-existing costume so it’s a little nerve wracking 😭😅 but it’s good practice for uni (I do costume interpretation btw)! I am mostly working with scraps and second hand fabric so it’s a really fun challenge to try to recreate the costume as close to the original as possible given the material limitations… The lace for the main part of the collar came from the edge of a curtain (the top part of the curtain will be used for the hat and the front apron bit as well because we don’t waste fabric in this house😎😎) I’m also guessing most of the making but it’s been teaching me a whole bunch of new techniques and ways to manipulate fabric so I’m thoroughly enjoying the process!
