  3. Beginner garden tips. Tip #1 DIVERSITY WINS! Nature is not a monoculture. When we plant in isolated groups, of one crop here and one crop there, we are immediately putting pressure on the systems that support those crops. That's because the diverse microbes that are in the soil (and bring nutrients to all our plants roots) require diverse exudates (plant sugars) from a diverse range of plants to thrive. The more diverse your plants on top, the more diverse the sugars that are available in the soil for your microbial friends, and the more nutrients that are available back to your plants. It's a circle of strength in diversity! There's a lot to learn in that. And the great news is, once our plants are getting all the nutrients they need, they won't get attacked by pests. It's a win, win, win and one of the very easiest things to change up as a home gardener. Any questions? Ask me below!   3. Anyone that has known me the last few years will know I cannot hold a conversation without mentioning something about the brain or nervous system. So I have now signed away the next decade of my life to becoming a qualified brain nerd 🤓🧠🥼 To become a neuroscientist is the goal (research not surgery) and I’m hoping to bring you along on this journey of learning, as much as possible, because I want everyone I know to benefit from the gold nuggets of knowledge out there. Feels weird going to uni a little later than most people, but it’s perfect for me coz I’m passionate and determined ! (and a lot less likely to party my grades away 😉) But for those of you who’ve had a dream you’ve put off for any reason, reconsider it. Or maybe you haven’t allowed yourself to dream big enough? You’re not too old, or under qualified, and anyone worth being in your life will only encourage and support you. (Obviously so long as it doesn’t involve serious crimes or hurting people 🤪) life’s just too short to not go after what you want with your whole heart ❣️

  2. Six weeks ago I started back on my journey to becoming the strongest both physically and mentally that I could possibly be. It wasn’t about being as lean as I used to be nor was it about “bouncing back” I just wanted to feel capable again. I’ve always been a huge advocate for physical strength empowering people to feel mentally strong and I honestly have never felt stronger. I don’t left as heavy as I once did but my mental resilience to show up every damn day and push my limits is beyond anything I’ve ever felt before. If I can pass on any advice it would be that it’s not about low calorie intakes or restriction it’s about building sustainable habits and showing up for yourselves even on days when you really don’t feel like it. “Our habits will either make us or break us.
