  1. Summer season is here and that means it's the time to eat mangoes! Mangoes is any form is a yes for me but Amma's maambazha kootan tops it all. I loved documenting amma making this dish and i hope you do too! Also, this video is extra special because Amma was sent this beautiful saree and it made her so happy. Thank you @karpagavirutcham for this kind gesture ❤️ And and! Happy Tamil New year all of you! Here's the recipe! This ideally suits chenduram variety the best but works well with any other variety too 1. Slightly slice the mangoes and boil them . Add turmeric powder and salt to the water. 2. Grind shredded coconut, green chillies ( adjust spice according to taste) and pulp of one of the boiled mangoes ( do not put the skin, only the pulp) And curd, let it come to a paste 3. Add the paste to the mangoes that are boiling in the water. If there's excess water, remove some before adding the paste. 4. Add jaggery for taste. Check for salt according to preference. 5. Let everything boil and come together as one. 6. Switch off once the curry thickens 7. Heat oil in a small pan and add some mustard seeds, Fenugreek seeds, dried red chillies and curry leaves. Let it splutter and add it to the curry. That's it! Have it with some piping hot rice and ghee!
