The meal began with a few starters including a A5 wagyu patty mushroom salad, cold potage of garlic/almonds and teppan-steamed shabu. After that, we were served several different selections of bottomless wagyu. The meal ended with garlic fried rice, A5 beef soup and lemon sorbet with a cup of matcha. I came up with this dish bc I always noticed leftover butter and garlic in the pan after making Hawaiian shrimp scampi.😆 Why not soak up all that goodness with carbs?! ✨Ingredients✨ 15ish cloves garlic, minced 10 shrimp 2 tbsp flour Paprika Chili powder S&P 4 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil 1 stalk green onion 2 servings spaghetti or another long pasta A shake of parm 😆 ✨Instructions✨ 1. Boil & salt a pot of water for the pasta. Remember to save a bit of pasta water for later! 2. Mix the shrimp, flour, paprika, chili powder, and salt & pepper together so that the shrimp are evenly coated. 3. Melt butter & olive oil together. Once melted, add garlic and cook on low heat for 5 min. 4. Turn the heat up to medium and add the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes, then flip and cook until done. Remove shrimp. 5. Add green onions, cook for a few seconds until wilted, then add cooked pasta and pasta water. Mix until combined, then add parmesan and mix. 6.   3. 🍝VIRAL TRADER JOES LOBSTER BISQUE PASTA🍝 I saw this easy Trader Joe’s pasta recipe all over social media and knew I had to try it!! 😋 You only need a few ingredients and it comes together really quickly. It’s such a good hack for an impressive but easy dinner! Some people use the TJ’s langostino tails as the protein, but the red Argentinian shrimp is just as good imo.🤩 This recipe made about 4 servings! ✨Ingredients✨ 8oz pasta (I used @flourandwaterfoods) EVOO 4 cloves minced garlic 1/2 an onion, chopped Cherry or grape tomatoes Red Argentinian shrimp S&P to taste TJ’s Lobster bisque A few handfuls of spinach ✨Instructions✨ 1. Boil the pasta to al dente according to the directions. 2. Heat up EVOO in a pan on medium heat and saute the garlic & onions until soft. 3. Add the tomatoes and cook until soft. 4. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. 5. When the shrimp is cooked through, add the lobster bisque and combine. 6. Add the spinach and stir until it wilts. 7. Mounted on the wall above the check-in desk at Gate G96 in the @flysfo International Terminal, Everywhere a Color, is a 20 foot high x 27 foot wide patchwork of solid colored and patterned wood slats with accents of powder-coated aluminum, and acrylic mirror. Each material adds a specific textural, reflective, and dimensional quality to the piece. Patterned slats pieced in feature snippets of scenes from the Castro crosswalk to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s turret. Activity on the tarmac outside the terminal is reflected in pieces of mirrored plexiglass, which adds a cinematic element to the whole. In creating this portrait of San Francisco, I became a tourist myself, “gathering” colors I encountered during various outings and also asking visitors and locals what colors stand out to them. I’m interested in how color has the ability to tap into our various senses and conjure memories. Whether you are coming or going, wherever you are from or whatever language you speak, color has the potential to bring us together, I think. There is a lot of extra work that goes into these installations that greet travelers (beyond color and material selections). Airport requirements mean the works have to be fire and seismic-rated; stamped by an engineer, and meet archival standards. None of it would have happened without the support of @zoetaleporos @outoftheboxprojects @ariannegelardin @sfac_public_art_collection and @onehatonehand who recently submitted ‘Everywhere a Color’ for the July edition of the @CODAworx magazine and it was selected for this month’s SF theme. Last year, Carissa Potter @peopleiveloved and I collaborated on stitching a set of quilts for an exhibition at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco @jewseum about a concept of repair called Tikkun; a process of living consciously and changing the world for the better. Together, we hand-stitched embellishments and comforting phrases with colorful thread; mending damaged quilts that were donated by @coyuchi Coyuchi 2nd Home Renewed™️—a circular initiative program designed to rehome imperfect products. Each quilt is one-of-a-kind and says something different; offering physical and mental comfort in an exceedingly imperfect and complicated moment in time. In light of recent world events, we have made the quilts available for sale with 100% of proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders @doctorswithoutborders to help bring the world back to a place of Tikkun. We hope these quilts will help keep you warm and feel loved. We hope that for every colorful stitch, peace ensues, twentyfold.
