  1. Air fryer bacon couldn’t be any easier! 🥓 Place the desired amount of bacon in the air fryer. I usually do one pound at a time. Cook on 400°F, stopping to stir the bacon around every five minutes. ⏲️ Around the twelve-minute mark, the bacon will start getting crispy. Remove the pieces that are cooked to your liking, and continue cooking at two-minute intervals, continuing to remove the pieces that are done. That’s it! If you have more bacon to cook, pour the excess grease out of the bottom of the air fryer and repeat the process! Tips When I first got my air fryer, most of the recipes I saw online for bacon said you have to lay it in a single layer. I’ve shown this many times in my stories, and this is how I do it every time. It works just fine! However, you won’t get perfectly flat bacon. If that’s how you like yours, use the oven method on my feed. My oven was full the day I made this, which brings me to my next tip. On Thanksgiving day, or any time you’re cooking a big meal, utilize all of your appliances. You’re slow cooker, instant pot, air fryer, and rice cooker can all be used to save oven space! I’ve only tested this with the air fryer I have, which is a bowl-style. Ever try turkey or beef bacon in it, but I imagine those would work just fine. If you try it, let me know in the comments!   1. Cats out of the bag! I have accepted a new job as a Financial Advisor at Thoroughbred Financial Services! Deciding to leave UBS has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. It took a lot for me to admit that I was considering looking elsewhere, but after I admitted to myself and a few others that it was the best decision for my career in the long run, God truly worked in His perfect timing.   3. This morning we had a minor scare with baby girl (all is good). Drew didn’t hesitate to pray over me and her, just like he’s been doing throughout the entire pregnancy. He’s gone to every single appointment, even when it fell at an inconvenient time with his work. I’ve felt free to vent about every ache, pain and embarrassing symptom of pregnancy because I know I will be met with zero judgement and only love. He has been my biggest supporter, encourager and caretaker the past 40 weeks of growing baby girl. I can’t wait to see you be a dad, Drew🤍 📷: @micahmcnair

  1. I have been MIA for a hot second and all for a good reason... Carter and I are expecting a baby boy in October! My body has experienced so much change in the last three months and I’ve been learning how to deal with it. With this little one growing inside me, it has caused severe and very painful arthritis flare ups. I’ve had to take and be okay with rest days. Instead of working out for myself, I’m working out for the both of us. Even on the most painful days, I cannot help but smile! Words cannot describe how excited & grateful we are to become parents! We love this perfect baby so much & taking each day to praise our Heavenly Father for this wonderful gift. Wow, it is such a cool thing! I’m looking forward to this journey & appreciate everyone being patient with me as I soak up this season.

  2. I haven’t been active lately because this month has been the hardest month since Ezra’s been born. I am experiencing arthritis flare ups again. When they first started, I was prescribed medicine that was nursing friendly. I am thankful it did the trick for seven months, but it no longer manages the pain. I am now taking a new medicine that helps perfectly, but I cannot breastfeed. So on top of dealing with joint pain and Ezra cutting four teeth, I had to cold turkey him from breastfeeding. (10/10 do not recommend!) Not even a week after supplementing, Ezra came down with his first sickness. (Oh, the mom guilt from that.) We are currently on the mend (I think) of Roseola & treating a severe diaper rash. It truly breaks my heart seeing my baby scream because he’s in pain. I don’t know if it’s his tooth, his bum, his stomach, or the rash from Roseola. I just don’t know & that is mentally exhausting. This last month I realized how lonely motherhood can be... mainly due to mamas not talking about the struggles that come along with it. It is so hard you guys!! I don’t necessarily believe in “fake it ‘til you make it” because it can put off a very false image. (Just a side note, that perfect instagram mom wore mesh panties too!) Here’s the thing, there are so many variables that go into raising a baby and ultimately you have to do what’s right for YOUR family. End of story! If any mama feels alone, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am no expert, but the least I can do is encourage another mama along the way. 💕

  3. My mom captured this picture of Ezra and me hiking this weekend. When she sent this picture to me I immediately screamed “This is AWFUL. I have twelve chins!!” I even went to the extent of telling my mom not to post this picture because I couldn’t see past my insecurities. The more I looked at this picture, the more I got upset... so I deleted it! We had a long drive today. While Ezra and Carter were napping, this picture popped in my mind again. After thinking about it for at least five minutes (wish I was kidding), I decided to recover it from recently deleted photos. My eyes immediately focused in on my chin again, but then I stopped myself. I challenged myself to see the real greatness in this picture. Ezra is on his first hike and happy as can be. This boy loves the outdoors. I’m also my happiest when I’m surrounded by my people. All of these things are SO much more than my silly insecurity. We all struggle with pointing out the things we hate about ourselves. As much as I try not to, I do it every single day. Did you know negative self talk can actually cause more anxiety? I don’t know about you, but I have enough anxiety as is. Why would I want to cause more?! As we start a new week, I want you to focus on being kind to yourself. It takes practice & can be awkward at first, but the more you do it, the more you will begin noticing your true and beautiful self!
