  3. When I heard the news that one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney @chatkazz_australia was coming to @marketplacegungahlin @visitcanberra , I could not wait to try it. It definitely hit all the desi food buttons for me 😁. It was packed and we did have to wait for a while but, it was worth the wait. The staff were friendly and super nice and the food was delicious. Once seated, the food came out real quick. I’d definitely recommend my fellow foodies to try!!

Rest in eternal peace Renee Hallaj Dear friends some of you may already be aware that our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunty and loving friend to many, Renee Hallaj sadly passed away early Monday morning. Renee will be greatly missed by her daughters Mary, Genie, Dominique, and son Elias, their spouses Eric, Ken, Simon, and Vanessa, and her beloved grandchildren Daniel, Christina, Jamie, Christian, Natalie, Jasmine, Renee, Rachel, Michaela and Grace, as well as many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends in Australia and around the world. Renee’s funeral will be held at 10:30am Wednesday 13 August 2025 at The Holy Family Catholic Church, 214 Maroubra Road, Maroubra. We will miss her enormously. Renee worked hard, was selfless and generous her whole life and lived an amazing 92 years. We feel blessed to have been brought into this world by her and been nurtured by her love and devotion to her family. We will mourn her death, but are also looking forward to sharing many happy memories. If you would like to send cards, messages, or flowers please send them to the Church to arrive by 9am on Wednesday 13 August. Moving states, leaving my job, falling in love, starting a new role, finding out I was pregnant, moving in with my partner, taking on a guardianship role to my partners child, the last big move to a family home on the horizon, a new business venture opening soon, birth approaching. It’s a lot to experience since January. Deciphering the usual emotions you would feel with so much change vs hormones. Deep cries. Deep laughter too. Navigating a new relationship after being single for so long. So used to only having myself to worry about, complete freedom, full selfishness allowed. Nobody to reflect your shit back at you. But also, the joys of a relationship after being single for so long. The comfort, the affection, the deep intimacy and healing that comes from being seen in your shit and still loved and accepted. The maturity I have never experienced, both sides willing to do the work and take responsibility. The journey of pregnancy. From feelings of loss at what was to the bliss of what will be. Loneliness ~ a common theme I’m sensing from new soon-to-be Mamas. An opportunity that reflects your deepest darkest fears yet also allows the most trust and surrender you will ever feel. Last year I wanted more, I asked for more. I remember thinking maybe I should be careful with what I was calling in, I could feel the magnitude of that surrender. It’s being served in full. A whole new life. I wouldn’t change a single thing 💚
