  1. “This is my kids’ absolute fave! You can never go wrong with chicken and corn – it’s such a classic combo. It’s a nice one to keep in a freezer stash for loadshedding or a busy day. We make it at least once a week, or once every second week. It’s such a nice hearty dish.” - Saadiyah Hendricks Try it out. 2. A recipe to save, make and absolutely love! Another easy, quick to make winning recipe! I love how versatile these saucy prawns are to serve – either on a bed of pasta, salad, savoury rice, baguette, the list goes on and on really. I thoroughly enjoyed making them in my new @sagenwolf (available on @yuppiechef ) Titanium Series Non-Stick Chef’s Pan - It’s nice and wide, providing ample space so you don’t have to worry about smashing anything, it comes with a glass lid (yip, winning!) and can easily go from stovetop to oven! Here’s the recipe – I hope you try it and love it as much as I do! Saucy Prawns Recipe credit: @sadiesbubbleofyum Ingredients: For the prawns: 1 box of butterflied and deveined prawns, washed (head and shell on) 80g butter 1 tablespoon crushed garlic 1 tablespoon fish and prawn wet masala (you could use a dry spice if you prefer) I used @thehousewivespantry red fish Masala 1 teaspoon green masala or finely chopped green chillie (adjust according to preference) Salt and pepper to taste For the sauce: 100g butter 1 heaped teaspoon crushed garlic 1 tablespoon fish and prawn wet masala (you could use a dry spice if you prefer) 250ml cream 1 tablespoon mayonnaise Salt and pepper to taste 3/4 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Fresh coriander, roughly chopped (to garnish) Method: In a pan on medium heat, melt the butter then add the prawns and all the spices and cook for just a few minutes (until they’ve just turned pink), stirring to ensure the prawns are well coated. In a separate saucepan, make the sauce by melting the butter then adding the remaining ingredients aside from the coriander. Stir to combine. Add the sauce to the prawns, stir to ensure the prawns are well coated, cook for a further 2-3 minutes, remove from the heat, garnish with coriander and serve. Enjoy! #prawn #prawnrecipe #recipe #madefromscratch #prawns #recipeoftheday #recipeshare #sagenwolf #yuppiechef

  3. ⁣⁣ Happy new year everyone ! 🥂✨🤩 ⁣ ⁣ First recipe going into 2022 has to be my take on a CHOCOLATE BABKA 🍫 using the delicious vegan hazelnut chocolate spread from @olaokja ⁣ ⁣ For the dough:⁣ 2 1/2 cups of self-raising flour (+ extra for dusting) ⁣⁣ 3 tbsp caster sugar ⁣⁣ 2 tbsp vegan butter, melted ⁣ 1 cup almond milk ⁣ 1 tsp vanilla essence ⁣⁣ ⁣ filling: ⁣ 1/4 cup (or as much as you want) chocolate hazelnut spread from @olaokja ⁣ ⁣ 1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin. ⁣ 2. In a bowl, stir together the flour and caster sugar then add the melted butter, almond milk and vanilla essence and stir to combine until a dough forms. ⁣⁣ 3. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth *don’t over knead, just between 6-8 times.⁣⁣ 4. Roll the dough into a rectangle (roughly 20cm by 30cm). ⁣⁣ 5. Spread with the @olaokja hazelnut spread and then roll into a long log shape. ⁣ 6. Slice the log down the middle lengthwise. ⁣ 7. With the cut sides facing upwards press together 1 end of each half. ⁣ 8. Lift the right half and place it over the left half and then repeat until you are left with a twist shape (almost like a long plait) ⁣ 9. Press the other side of the two halves together and then place into the loaf tin. ⁣ 10. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. ⁣ 11. Slice and enjoy ! ✨🍫⁣ ⁣ #abiteofvegan #vegan #feedfeedbaking #thefeedfeed #vegans #foodphotography #foodtographyschool #vegansofsouthafrica #theprettyblog #veganrecipeideas #veganbakingrecipes #veganbabka #bestofvegan #bestofveganbaking #feedfeedvegan #food52grams #capetownvegan #vegansofcapetown #veganrecipeshare #veganfoodshare #bestofvegan #capetownfoodie #capetownfoodphotographer @bestofveganbaking @foodtographyschool @okjacafe
