  3. Meal comped by @rainierrestaurant The first time I visited Rainier Restaurant many years ago, I was blown away by my experience, with the catfish and the beef ong choy salad being my favorites. My last few visits weren’t bad but they weren’t as good as the first, so I was so excited when I heard that Rainier Restaurant is now under new ownership!🤩 Ownership has changed a few times, and what I’m excited about is that the current owners are working with the original owners to bring back the recipes we knew and loved 🙏 The catfish ($20 per pound) is cooked perfectly with skin so crispy, I almost forgot I was eating fish 😂 It seriously looked like lechon skin to me! The ongchoy salad is one of the best salads I’ve ever had, and always a must for me!   1. Glacier National Park is my favorite! Just got back from spending four glorious days by myself, car camping in Glacier NP and it was absolutely mind blowing. The week before I did what most people do when they come to Glacier: drive the Going to the Sun Road, fight for a parking spot up at Logan Pass, hike to Hidden Lake and hike the Highline Trail. That was all okay, but the crowds out on trail doing funny things and the aggressive parking situation in that part of the park was not my favorite. Then I discovered Two Medicine.   2. What’s the ONE piece of gear you can’t live without? I asked you guys this question a couple weeks back in my Insta Stories. Thank you for all the great responses! Some of you really struggled with choosing just one thing. 😂 Here were the most popular responses I got: Sleep System Some part of your sleep system like a hammock, sleeping pad, sleeping bag and quilt. Snacks I saw everything from an orange and grapefruit to jerky, jelly beans and vegan Snickers. I didn’t know there was such a thing as a vegan Snickers! Trekking Poles So many of you are passionate about your trekking poles. When I first started hiking, I never used trekking poles. Then I got some solid advice from @fearlesssarah right before I started my first PCT thru-hike where she told me to bring a pair of trekking poles. Now I can’t hike without them! Camp Chair or Butt Pad For a lot of you, carrying a camp chair is your ultimate luxury item for each of your backpacking trips. I still haven’t invested in a camp chair, but I do love having my butt pad to sit on instead of dirt. Shoes This includes hiking shoes and camp shoes. For a lot of you, having a good pair of comfortable shoes is key when it comes to spending time out on trail. I 100% agree. Shoes can make or break any trip out in the backcountry. Water Filter No surprise here. Water is LIFE! A Pillow I couldn’t believe how many of you said the one piece of gear you couldn’t live without was a pillow, Many of you specifically mentioned the Nemo Fillo pillow. Pee Devices I saw mentions of a pee cloths, pee funnels and pee bottles. I personally won’t ever head out on trail without one of my beloved @kulacloth. Backpack 100% agree! My pack always feels like an extension of home that I wear on my back. I certainly couldn’t imagine doing a trip without my pack and whenever I take it off, I feel kind of naked without it. Besides the 10 Essentials, what’s the ONE piece of hiking/backpacking gear you couldn’t live without? How to Make Protein Packed French Toast French toast is a breakfast classic loaded with carbs and sugar, but what if you could pump it up with protein and make it more healthy and still have it taste delicious? 👇 Here’s the recipe I snagged from my sister @shellykowatch 👇 Ingredients: * 4 Eggs * 2 Scoops of Protein Powder (I used @legion’s Cinnamon Cereal flavored Vegan Protein Powder) * 1 Cup of Milk * 8 Slices of Bread Cooking Instructions: * In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk and protein powder * Mix together thoroughly * Spray a pan with healthy oil * Dip each slice of bread into the mixture on both sides * Cook on each side over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes. It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the closure of our restaurant and home for repairs and renovations needed after a water pipe burst above the restaurant during last weekend’s freezing temperatures. We learned this morning that the damage extends beyond what we originally thought and were informed this morning that we must close ASAP to begin repairs. All upcoming reservations will be cancelled and online reservations will be closed indefinitely until we know when we’ll be able to open again. When I started Musang, I knew that this wasn’t going to be easy and a part of me loves the challenges that come with this crazy life. For those of you that know - you know. We can’t control the way things happen, but we can do our best to control our reactions to what comes our way. We made it through opening in 2020 and all of the things that ensued the past couple of years. And we will continue to share our culture, food, stories in all the ways we can. This isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes, as we all have been looking forward to serving you and your loved ones - we also understand that many of you have been waiting weeks to dine with us and are sorry to say it will be a few weeks longer before we are able to share our hospitality with you. We ask that you take this opportunity to go visit @kiligseattle and to support all the small businesses that we love.   2. 👋🏻 I have been tragically locked out of this account but we back baby! ✨And of course back with Mexican food & a view. 📍 Grab Malena’s Taco Shop in upper Queen Anne and take it to one of the most underrated view points in all of Seattle at 5th & Lynn st. 🌃 🌮 I have to say, their fried shrimp tacos are good, but my boyfriend got their chili relleno burrito 🌯🌯 (which I wish I got a photo of) and that was AMAZING and I’m pretty sure I ate 90% of it 😂 so if you go, i’d def recommend that! (I usually get their bean & cheese burrito but they were out of refried beans so I switched it up with the taco which was still really tasty) ✨🌮

  2. One of my favorite spots in Mexico City 🌟 Always warm and fresh churros the tiles and backsplash are so pretty. It’s all around a great place to stop and eat or if you are in a rush take them to go. Should I mention they sell bomb tacos 🌮 just outside next door to them, it’s also owned by the same owner so you get savory and sweet in one trip.   2. The one coffee shop that's worth the drive from wherever you are: Aroma Coffee Co. in Fall City. It has the first @nelsontreehouse public treehouse. And it's a delight for the kids to play. No kids? The café alone is pretty charming. The house where it's located is a King County landmark. There's plenty of patio seating, their drink menu is big and their food is good.
