  2. New restaurant alert! 😍 📍: Kalabagan, Dhanmondi বাবুমশাই হেরিটেজ is a new restaurant at Dhanmondi that I had the pleasure of visiting last weekend. We initially had some trouble finding the place since it’s not on maps yet; it’s on the second floor of Mama Haleem’s building, close to Kolabagan Mentors. I loved the food, decor and ambience. They have a very pretty Bangla aesthetic with multiple picture spots. They also have a small store selling sarees, panjabis and some hand painted trinkets. The whole place felt very inviting and homely and the food only added to that feeling. Everything felt like comfort food, like it was cooked with love. I think my sister described it perfectly when she called it very good dawat er khabar! ✅ Recommended! So you see, this was the first time I had their any other dish other than oven baked pasta or pizza. I jumped right into it when I saw Calamari. The Calamari is cooked in Arrabbiata sauce and drowned in Linguine Pasta. . 📌 What is Arrabbiata sauce? 👉🏻 A spicy sauce made from tomatoes, dry chilli and garlic. . There were LOADS of perfectly cooked Calamari in a sea of this spicy sauce. Though I felt that the pasta was not al dente rather overly cooked. This pasta was served with Mozzarella cheese on the top. I will definitely come back to try their food in seafood section.   2. Brioche buns! Made these delicious soft and fluffy burger buns, to make chicken burgers for dinner. Followed a simple recipe online but here is the gist: . 4 cups flour . 2 cups milk . 1 tsp yeast . 1 tsp salt . 1.5 tbsp sugar . 0.5 cup melted butter . Mix well, and knead for 10 minutes til smooth. Let rise for an hour. Once risen, cut up into 9 even pieces, shape each one into a ball by pulling all sides towards the center and tucking the dough into itself. Don't overdo the ball! Just enough to get a nice ball shape. Place the dough balls with the smooth edge facing up on a pan lined with baking sheet. Let rise for an hour to 1.5 hours. Brush the buns with egg wash, coat with sesame seeds, then bake in a preheated 180C oven for 25 minutes or until top is nice and brown. Love the smell of freshly baked bread! . .   3. Last night's dinner - spaghetti with amazing Bolognese sauce made by @her.food.memoir! As sides I made garlic bread on baguettes, and mashed potatoes. The Bolognese sauce was perfectly balanced with tanginess from the tomatoes, savory and saltiness from the beef, with a bit of sweetness from the onions and carrots.
