Spicy Carrots & Cabbage in 15minutes - Indian style Ingredients 2 tbsp Oil or ghee 1 Small cabbage, finely shredded 2 Carrots, peeled and finely cut length ways 2 Green chillies, finely sliced (optional) 1 Onion, finely sliced 1/2 tsp Brown mustard seeds 1 tsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Salt, or to taste 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp Garam masala 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder, or to taste Method Step 1 - In a large pan on medium/high heat, add the oil/ghee, once hot, add the brown mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they start to spluttering add the onions and sauté for 30 seconds. Now add the remaining dry seasonings and sauté for another 30 seconds. Step 2 - Add the carrots and stir fry for a 5 minutes, then add the cabbage and chillies, and stir fry until the cabbage has softened but still has a bite. Top with Fresh coriander and serve!   3. We arrived at our castle like home for the week to find a pleasant surprise waiting for us in our rooms. For the ladies, a tartan sash and brooch. For the gents, a traditional Scottish Kilt. Ahead of dinner we gathered in the foyer of our hotel and instinctually began to inspect and adjust each other’s wardrobe. Once we had given each other the all clear, it was a short ride to The Malt Barn at @glenfiddichwhisky distillery. We disembarked from our coach to be welcomed by a Highlander and his Bagpipes. The sun had just set and it was now time to begin the festivities. In place of a traditional seating card, guests found their way to their seats by identifying a personalized bottle of Glendfiddich 15yo with their name on it. The moment we were all seated and settled, the bagpipes started up again, ushering in the star course of the evening- Haggis. In keeping with Scottish tradition, we were treated to the poem by Robert Burns, Address to a Haggis. “Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o' the pudding-race! Aboon them a' ye tak your place, Painch, tripe, or thairm : Weel are ye wordy o'a grace As lang's my arm. The groaning trencher there ye fill, Your hurdies like a distant hill, Your pin wad help to mend a mill In time o'need, While thro' your pores the dews distil Like amber bead. His knife see rustic Labour dight, An' cut you up wi' ready sleight, Trenching your gushing entrails bright, Like ony ditch; And then, O what a glorious sight, Warm-reekin', rich!” It was a night of culture…filled with food, singing, dancing and whisky.   3. About 5 months ago, I was sitting on the toilet (that's where I do my best thinking lol) trying to come up with a name for a crochet brand idea I'd had for a while. I want to make crochet clothes that are versatile and for all sizes. Clothes that you don't wear when going on vacation only. clothes that you don't need to pair up with a jacket/coverup so that you can feel 'decent'. Clothes that you can confidently wear to class and even to sunday dinner with your family.
