Couldn’t find it. So I moved on. Last weekend, a gentleman named Desmond reached out to me. Turns out I lost it at a WWE event at Rogers Centre on March 1st - and Desmond works there. It was sitting in the lost & found and it was about to be purged because it had been two months. Instead of casually chucking it, he took the extra step and made the time to reach out to me. I swung by to collect it and wanted to snag a pic with my guy before I left.   1. FRIED CHICKEN!! Hot and honey + lemon pepper This was a collab of epic proportions!! Finally got the chance to cook with my brother @theheartbreakchef and the results did not disappoint. His award winning fried chicken is known throughout the city to be some of the best you can get anywhere and after watching this video you’ll understand why. Also shout out @merrysomers for the amazing fermented hot sauce used in this recipe. Recipe, 4 boneless chicken thighs 500ml buttermilk 20ml hot sauce 2 cup all purpose flour 1 tablespoon salt 2 tablespoons garlic powder 2 tablespoons onion powder 2 tablespoons paprika 2 teaspoons black pepper Pour you buttermilk over your chicken thighs with the hot sauce. Throughly mix and set aside in fridge for a couple hours to marinate. In a medium bowl mix all of your dry ingredients together to form the dredge for the chicken. When ready remove from buttermilk and throughly coat in the flour, don’t be shy. Shake off any excess flour and fry at 325 degrees for about 5 minutes per side depending on how large you thighs are. Lemon pepper; Mix together, 2 tablespoons coarse salt, dried lemon peel - 5 lemons worth, 1/2 cup ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder For the lemon peel set your oven to its lowest setting. Peel five lemons zest only and put them on a tray lined with parchment paper. Bake them very slowly until dried out completely. Blend in spice grinder. This spot also made me fall in love with brussel sprouts (when they’re glazed with honey and balsamic glaze lol!). Easy, macro-friendly, one-pan dinner Meatball Ingredients: 1 lb lean ground turkey or beef ¼ cup breadcrumbs (soaked) I used 1/4 milk 1 egg 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp dried parsley 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp cumin Salt and pepper to taste Pan Ingredients: 3 medium potatoes, chopped 1 white or red onion, sliced Fresh parsley or mint (optional) Light Lemon Vinaigrette: ¼ cup lemon juice ¼ cup olive oil 1 tsp oregano 1 clove garlic, minced Salt and pepper to taste Directions: 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix meatball ingredients and form 12 meatballs. 2️⃣ Whisk together the lemon vinaigrette. 3️⃣ Add potatoes and onion to a 9×13 dish. Season with salt and pepper. 4️⃣ Place meatballs between potatoes. Only.” dinner with @kasamachicago, the first Filipino Michelin-starred restaurant, and witnessing the brilliance of @timothyryanchi and @geniekwon up close. A fresh yet crispy lumpia with herbs, a mussel-laced chicken adobo that brought the umami, wagyu kare-kare that was straight-up insane, and a croissant laced with truffle and Délice de Bourgogne 🤯 Grateful for the experience, and big thanks to Chef Dru @maitakepapi for connecting the dots and always building bridges for the Filipino community 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 Filipino pride all around🫡 ✨
