  1. let’s make lavender syrup ✨💜 This is another fave syrup of mine, it’s perfect for cocktails + mocktails, coffee, tea and even desserts 🤩 and it really couldn’t be easier to make. You can adjust the sugar to your preference, as I prefer a thicker syrup I’ll typically go for a 2:1 ratio. ✨Homemade Lavender Syrup✨ - 1 cup water -2 cups sugar (cane sugar, demerera, or granulated sugar will work just fine) - 1/4 cup dried lavender @worldmarket Boil water, add sugar and stir to dissolve. Once dissolved, turn off heat + add lavender and stir. Pop a lid on (for 20 mins) and let the infusion get to work. Strain, and pour into a sealed container. So many dishes came to mind for this collaboration, but one stuck out the most- pozole. ⁣ ⁣ It’s the dish the matriarchs in our families make to celebrate our birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. It’s the dish my aunts make when I visit the motherland. It’s the dish my grandmother and her mother and her mother’s mother woke up early in the morning, before hearing the roosters crow, to prep the nixtamal, in order to have this stew ready by dinner time.⁣ ⁣ You can buy canned hominy and it’ll save you hours of prep work- but you miss out on the soft but ”al dente” firmness of the kernel and the earthy maize aroma that gets lost in the canning process.
