  1. 🍁Your girl only went and did it! 🍁 So I went ginger! All by my self and with semi permanent! Im still undecided if I let it wash out or go more orange! What do you think?? Of course I filmed how I did it at home so will post this weekend. #haircolour #curlyhair #curlycolor #wavyhair #curlcare #hairideas #hairinspo

  2. 🍊Updated colour and cut!🍊 After my previous experiment going orange at home my hairdresser @zac_fennell at @ba1hair gave me a fresh cut and sort the colour properly with @aveda (it’s demi permanent so will fade) I’m absolutely obsessed with the shine that the gloss gives (shout of to Paris who killed it with the colour!) I’m feeling it for a nice change for winter but can’t promise that I won’t go back to my normal blondie/brownie! What do you think? Are you changing your hair for autumn? #curlycommunity #curlycolor #haircolor #hairinspiration #hairinspo #hairideas #curlyhair #curlygirlmethod

  1. Its so easy to feel disappointed with our 'just wavy' hair when we see all of the beautiful ringlets, curls and spirals on here. Can we please stop judging our waves by how curly we can get them. Just like your wavy/curly hair doesn't need to be straighter and smoother; it doesn't need to be curlier either. Your curl pattern is unique. Embrace it ❤💖 #wavyhairgirl #2awaves #naturalblonde #simplehairstyle #hairacceptance #easywaves #cgm #wavygirlsofig #wavygirlmethod #curlygirlmethod #ukcgm #cgmuk #wavyhair #wavycurly #summerstyle #summerhair #summerblonde #bushybrows #naturallook #naturalwaves #longhair

  2. Frizzy? Kinky? Unmanageable? These are all signs of naturally wavy hair! With a little knowledge, patience and practice you could be rocking your beautiful natural waves 🥰 . . . #naturalwavy #wavyhair #wavyhairstyle #wavyhair #naturalhair #stylechange #embraceyourhair #fyp #explorepage #hairlove #hairtips #haircare #hairtest #hairchange #discoveryourwaves #discoveryourcurls #curlywavy #loosecurls

  3. Minimal products, time and effort and you can still enjoy your wavy hair! 🦋 The oil is my trick for keeping my waves shiny and reducing frizz. Yes the hold products can give your waves the most amazing definition and structure but realistically we don't always have time to apply layer and dry them how we need to (or you're just like me and you can't be bothered 🦥🤭) Wavy/curly hair is beautiful however styled on unstyled it is 💜💖🧡 Products used @merwaveuk shampoo and conditioner 🐬 @innersenseorganicbeauty leave in conditioner 🌸 @floracurl hair oil 🌺 @merwaveuk microfiber hair wrap 🐚 . . . #hairwash #hairstyle #embraceyourwaves #wavyhairproducts #washday #2awaves #2b #explore #haircare #fyp #foryoupage #hairandbeauty #organicbeauty #gentlehair #naturalwaves #naturalblondehair

  1. “How do I protect my curls overnight?” 😴 here are three ways: 1. Silk scrunchie (@onlycurlslondon) & silk pillowcase (@veyesilk) 2. Pineapple protector (also from Only Curls) 3. Satin bonnet Protecting your curls overnight is key is making sure they last into days 2, 3 and beyond. I personally use methods 1 & 2 together & I’m now at a point in my ‘hair journey’ that I don’t need to refresh my hair the next morning. If you need to refresh your hair the next morning, simply take the scrunchie off, let your hair settle for 10-15 mins (don’t touch it or do anything to it), spritz on a bit of water and add a tiny bit of leave in and/or gel & diffuse if you need 💖 Which method do you use? ⤵️

  2. 👩🏾‍🦱 Like lots of other people bored in quarantine/lockdown from March I picked up a new hobby: I started doing my hair and trying to get it back to a healthy state (something I had attempted & quit various times over the last 7 years as you can see by the left pictures of the SECOND time I got my hair chemically relaxed). 📸 At some point in late March, I just randomly started posting pictures of my washday on my page (I didn’t even bother to make a separate insta for this purpose like lots of other people do 🤣) because I thought it would be something I did for a week or two and then gave up on again but it’s been 7 months & I’m still here and still enjoying it. ✂️ I’ve learned so much through the accounts I’ve followed, I’ve been able to help people with their own hair queries so that they can hopefully experience less frustration going through the process than I did & I’ve (virtually) met so many lovely people behind the accounts. 🎞 *SO* The upshot is that I’ve decided to keep this account *just* for documenting curls. If you’re one of the 100 friends or friends of friends I had on this page before lockdown, I’ve followed you from my new page so feel free to unfollow this one unless you want to see purely curly content/pictures of washday. *You’ve been warned!* ❤️

  3. I quit CGM 2x before modifying the method & sticking with it!! I constantly see posts from people stressing about following the rules of CGM to the letter. Trying to juggle all of the rules AND find products that complied with all the #CGM rules was a big part of why I quit before. SO here are the #CGMrules that I break: 1. ❌ I don’t cowash. It is just not feasible for me living in London/Oxford- both have hard water. I tried it for a few months when I started; it left my hair over-moisturised and my scalp irritated. If you identify with this, try switching to a gentle shampoo instead & remember to clarify often. 2. ❌ I use water soluble silicones. I find that they work in my hair and since I don’t cowash but use a gentle shampoo instead, it’s pretty easy to cleanse them out of my hair. 3. ❌ I use products with ‘harsh’ alcohols (alcohol denat., isopropyl alcohol etc) if this ingredient is far down the ingredients list. Lots of products require trace amounts of harsh alcohols for formulation or preservation reasons. As long as this ingredient is at the end/near the end of the ingredient list this isn’t the biggest deal. 4. ❌ I use oils. I use oils to seal the hair strand (through LOC styling which gives me shine) and I use oils to pre-poo. Again, because I use a gentle shampoo, rather than cowashing, and I clarify often with an SLS shampoo this doesn’t cause me any issues. 5. ❌ I clarify with harsh sulphates (in chelating shampoos) more than would be considered strictly ‘necessary’. I find that products build up in my hair quickly/minerals in the water build up so I need to remove them often. 6. ❌ I use heat to diffuse. Without this, I’d be getting on the tube and going to work with wet hair. I find this extremely uncomfortable (esp in London during winter). Diffusing with low heat isn’t the end of the world. 7. ❌ I occasionally straighten my hair using a silicone heat protector. You’re supposed to be able to enjoy your hair & for me, that means changing up my look. At the end of the day, the method has to work for you- not the other way round! What rules do you break? ⤵️

  1. A little tour of the curly things I own (so far 😉)... I like it when other people do these because I’m extremely nosy, so I thought I’d do one of my own - nose away friends 😂 And feel free to ask about any of these if you are considering buying and want an opinion! 🌀 #curlyproducts #cgfriendly #curlycommunity #cgapproved #curlygirlproducts #curly #hairproducts #modifiedcgm #wavyhairproducts #cgm #curlyhairproducts

  2. I did a post a while back on how to scrunch out a gel cast a while back, but how do you get one, and why would you want one in the first place? 🤔 ✨ HOW✨ You can get a cast by applying high-hold styling products - usually a gel, but there are high-hold mousses out there too. If you’re having trouble getting a cast, you could try: Increasing the amount of styling product you use Decreasing the amount of leave-in or curl cream you use with it Waiting/plopping before styling, rather than styling straight out of the shower Layering up the products you’re using e.g. #moussecustardgel or #123gel - some products might not form a cast on their own due to their ingredients - google “film forming agents” to check! ✨WHY ✨ Why do we even want a gel cast in the first place? Apart from it being extremely satisfying to scrunch out and reveal soft curls underneath 😌 a cast can help with holding your curl pattern as your hair dries, and increase the definition of your result. I’ve had good wash days with and without a gel cast, it’s not absolutely essential, but it can help if you want your curls to be more defined. ✨ 👇 Do you always try to get a cast on your hair? Any tips I’ve missed on how to get one? Let me know 😊 ✨ #curlyhaircare #curlyhaircommunity #curlyhairtips #curlyhairtutorial #curlycommunity #curlyhair #naturallycurly #wavyhairroutine #wavyhaircare #wavyhaircommunity #wavyhairtutorial #wavyhairmethod #curlygirlmethod #cgmethod #cgm #curlyhairproducts #curlycast #2ccurls #2chair #curlytips #curlyjourney #wavyhairjourney

  3. So I’m now one year into my #curlyjourney 🥳 The real change that you can’t see in a picture has been how much healthier my hair feels, and how much happier I am with it… last year I didn’t have a clue what to do with it, now I at least feel like I have a little bit of a clue 😂 If you’re thinking about starting your hair journey and waiting for a sign, this is it 👍 You won’t regret trying! 💞 #healthyhairjourney #curlynewbie #curlyhairjourney #wavyjourney #wavyhairjourney #hairjourney #curlytransformation #curlytransition #ukcurly #curlyhairtransformation #curlycommunity #curlygirlcollective #curlygirlcommunity #curlsrock #embraceyourcurls #wavycurls #curlyhaircommunity #2b2c #wavyhaircommunity #2c #2ccurls #curlygirljourney #wavygirljourney
