I actually like the fact that it has a big boozy bite, It makes a change these days for a big beer to taste like 10% and not juice. Not overly sweet and pretty well balanced. 💛 I think I am however maybe over drinking TIPA …. I’m enjoying the lower ABV stuff, and all the great flavours breweries are packing into these. I’ve wanted to visit @mikkellerbaghaven for years! I went past on a boat once and thought, next time, I’m stopping. Finally made it… and it’s even better than I imagined.   1. My first #worldwidewednesday is an ode to finding amazing beer in the most unassuming places! . I love to travel, and nowhere calms my soul quite like Spain (specifically inland Spain). The small Andalucian village of Setenil De Las Bodegas is a bit of a fairytale destination and a place I had wanted to visit for so long - completely unique and absolutely stunning, and arguably one of the most breathtaking of the 'pueblos blancos'. This village consists of two main streets - loosely translating to sun street and shade street - carved into caves. There are a handful of shops and cafes, but within this cute little ham shop laid a tasty suprise! @lacuevadeliberico stocks a huge amount of locally produced craft beer, way beyond the usual couple of lagers and odd IPA. I opted for this delicious @untappd award winning, malt-forward red ale from Jerez based @destraperlocraftbeer (sadly now closed). .   2. Absolutely loving having some time away from work and general busy stuff to just relax and recuperate over the festive period.   3. Well, damn, that escalated... this is for my beer nerds and craft explorers... @azvexbrewing Mana Guanabana 6.0% . A few of you fellow Mana, Scoop and general smoothie sour fans commented with a few tips and suggestions so I'm going to share those here! 👇 1. Get the beer out of the fridge a good 30 mins or so before you want to open it and leave it at room temperature. 1. There are instructions on the can - read them, follow them... shake, leave for 5, pour. 2. Have a tin opener handy, as well as a latte spoon. Believe me, you won't want to waste any. 4. Enjoy, and don't take it too seriously... it's just beer! 🍻 . You know I absolutely love how beer gets people talking and it certainly did with this one - I am absolutely amazed by how many people are fans of, interested in, or repulsed by smoothie sours 😅 .   1. A little something different for today's stout Sunday, it's a 8.4% Eccles cake stout from one of the ogs in Manchester brewing @marblebrewers . If you have never tried a Eccles cake or my friends followers from other countries haven't heard of it, it's a pastry round cake smallish filled with fruits, raisins with butter, very crumblely pastry it's delicious.   3. For today's stout Sunday it's a super delicious 6.5% chocolate hazelnut praline stout from the guys @pomonaislandbrew and one of the og masters at stouts imps @amundsenbrewery . I kept seeing it and wondered what it was like i wish I had it sooner now it's absolutely stunning 😍, it taste's feels like a 8.5% stout, the rich smooth dark chocolate with the hazelnut cream is unbelievable 😋. Very rich sweet smooth, the depth body is incredible. Top notch collaboration stout 👏 👏. I had it in the fantastic @joule_mcr .   3. 🔥🇬🇧BRITISH HOPS🇬🇧🔥 .. I’d urge everyone to have a go of this! The general consensus is that British hops don’t really belong in a DIPA, and that they are more suited to pale ales in cask barrels, and I’d be guilty of having that mindset. @digbrewco have pulled something special off with Waka/Jawaka though - I don’t think I’ve ever tasted British hops that could mix it with the best of U.S hops in a juicy DIPA, but this pulls all the punches and more!! .. Fruit salad on the nose, booze fuelled sweet apricot and citrus upon tasting, smooth mouthfeel, earthy finish with a beautifully balanced bitterness. But maybe I’m lame… Anyway…. 💖 P U T T Y • 2022 💖 8% DIPA from the one and only @verdantbrew From Cornwall -> Kent in just over 24 hours. And only canned 2 days ago. This is fresh af. Ok first up - I don’t know why (because as we all know, I know little to nothing when it comes to the technical side of beer) - I prefer this to 2021 Putty. This is amazing. Literally delicious. So much so that the boyfriend has already drunk 3 of my 6 cans!!! 🙃🙃 Juicy, not too thick, not toooo dank. Just lovely. Really, really enjoyable. Gutted I didn’t get a poster. Thrilled I got 6x cans.   3. The other half has had a shitty day. And do you know what that means? That means beers tonight. Lush dinner. And beers. I got my first order (ever!) through from @beermerchants last night, which excited me greatly. And in it, was this bad boy. Gurr • W. Coast IPA • 7% • @thebeakbrewery I feel like every man and his dog has been drinking Beak beers except for me. It’s been all over my feed, and I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a can for what seems like forever. This is therefore my first ever Beak beer. And fuck, it’s good. They’re only down the road in Lewes, so (despite actually being in a different county) I like to think of them as local. This is a BIG IPA. It’s bitter. Piney. Smooth. Has a subtle citrus hit. It’s bloody delicious. I’m so glad I ordered a second Beak to try! 😍 Now… back to drinking good beers with the boyo 🥰 ✨ Purchased from @beermerchants ✨
