  3. Counting down the days until Spring…growing season is the best and we are starting to plan our beautiful vegetable patch and will be able to start sewing seeds in a matter of weeks! . We grow a lot of food; last year we had potatoes, asparagus, beans, peas, edamame, lettuce, shallots, garlic, three types of squash and courgette, cucumbers, artichokes, strawberries, carrots, beetroots, fennel, herbs, herbs and more herbs, SO much rhubarb, plus apples and plums in the orchard. We are still enjoying the potatoes now that we stored in the shed and made jams and chutneys that we are still enjoying and gifting to friends and family. It’s amazing what you can create - all this mainly in our raised beds - oh and I still had space for three of the ten to be bursting with dahlias! .
