  2. โ€ข JUST A GOOD WAY ... TO START THE DAY โ€ข I am not like most of the crazy mountain folk out there who bash up for sunrise after sunrise! I've been climbing 2017 - 2026 and I know people who have gone on to become instructors or climb 7A in less time. I've led S and 6a. I get terrified when leading. I have days where the thought of leading makes me feel physically sick. I don't consider myself to be a good climber. Especially in comparison to peers and my friend who started climbing at the same time as me. I've climbed in the UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Thailand, France... I've taken friends sport and trad climbing by myself, led routes, showed them how to set up anchors. But I'm still not a "good" climber...   3. For those of you have followed me a while, or those who know me in real life, I'm quite silly ๐Ÿคฃ I've had a really challenging past year and I haven't felt much like myself. It feels really weird because I have always been quite open on Insta but because of how other people are involved it just doesn't feel right for me to share details. But I would like to share that I now have caring responsibilities a lot of the time for a disabled adult with a terminal disease in my life and that's a really tough position to be in. We're starting to find strategies to do the things that make me feel like me. Like having more family and friends around to support so I can go out, setting up an emergency button response system to take away some of the worry, tag teaming, blocking off time where I'll work, run, climb etc..., being strict with myself to make sure I take the time, doing treaty things like getting my nails done or buying face masks. Being a carer is bloody hard, especially for somebody who you love. I'd like to share more about this journey moving forwards because I think there's a lot to share about being a carer that people may not think about or realise.
