  3. she gets to nap, watch the birds and be a demon spawn all at the same time ✨ When we installed this loft net I had an idea that my cats might enjoy it but I never had any idea just how much Mog would love it! She gets so excited whenever I put it up and one of my little joys in life is laying underneath it and getting to poke her toe beans and ruffle her belly. Which is a game she really enjoys as she likes to try and get me back! Mog has endless fun watching the birds from the window and swooshing her tail at them (she can’t get them I promise!) She also loves to take naps here and weirdly I think she prefers napping on the net without a blanket underneath! I wanted it to be unique and when I saw this pot in my local @frostsgardencentres the vision came to me. I used @makeitrustoleum clear satin sealer to make the pot watertight. It ended up costing about 10% of what it would have cost for someone to make it for me! (Which of course would have been much higher quality but wasn’t a practical option for us). Pregnancy countdown 🤍⁣ ⁣ I remember starting this thinking “oh my god, less than 10 weeks!” As our ovulation tracking set us a week ahead of the original hospital dating scan, as did the subsequent scans. Little did I know that this little dude would leave us hanging for another 3 weeks ontop of that “due date” ⁣- nevertheless I loved making this, I think you can see my energy shifts and growing tummy, oh and the changing nursery! Transition is everything in life 👶🏼🤍🍼 ⁣ I was pestered about induction from health professionals saying he was too big, but rejected and followed my own path, giving him the best opportunity to come naturally. You can never plan a birth, but you can have preferences… something I always said from the start. My entire birthing experience was somewhat polar opposite to my preferences, and quite frankly I can’t believe the trauma that women and their birthing partners / babies go through too! maybe I’ll delve into the details at some point, maybe someone out there will find it healing or relatable, mourning the loss of your birthing experience is normal! ⁣so they say anyway. I’m just pleased to be home with my happy healthy bubba. I do miss my bump. Now my bump sleeps in his own bed; it’s crazy! ⁣ Anyway, less waffle for now, and look at my tummy grow, with little a scrunchy man to show for it at the end. I think I missed the last couple weeks of pregnancy Bumpdate a videos because I was just feeling so damn down if I’m being honest. I had been stressing about the amount of dust that was going to go upstairs and into the bedrooms. I know these covers work as we’ve used them before, but I didn’t want to put one on every door as it would make it harder to live upstairs, plus they’re expensive!   2. We bought this house with every intention to extend. We received planning permission for a 5m extension right across the back. Think open plan space with a kitchen island. Playroom. Boot room/Utility. Walk in pantry. It was going to be the dream and we were going to add so much value! We renovated the rest of the house, while also saving for the “Big Extension” Then the world went crazy and we realised we weren’t going to be able to afford the extension we wanted, without putting ourselves in financial ruin. We didn’t fancy it. 🫤 But with young kids, we needed a functional open plan family space, so we worked with what we had. And this is the result. We paid for it all with our savings, meaning we can still sleep easy at night (unless I think about our energy bill. That’s another story!) Here’s what we did: 🔨 Knocked down the wall between the dining room and kitchen to open the space up. 🔨 Removed the chimney stack in the dining room to give us some extra space and furnishing options. 🔨 Blocked up the external door in the kitchen, allowing us to create a u-shaped layout. This gave us an entire extra wall to play with! 🔨 Incorporated a peninsula into our design to give us our space saving version of the Big Extension Kitchen Island. I know many of you are probably in the same boat. For those that are new around here, last year I transformed our driveway during lockdown for under £100 (this excludes the paint I had to buy twice because it was the wrong colour and the pressure washer, you could scrape the weeds out by hand).   3. 🌟I FINALLY finished painting the living room and I LOVE it 🌟. If any of you have followed this bloody saga you’ll know I spent the best part of 10 days painting my previously Hauge Blue living room Shadow White only for Andy to point out it looked MAGNOLIA (the shame).   2. Happy bank holiday Monday! Here’s our little labour of love kitchen revamp, which I can finally show a full shot of now that we’ve got our new brass tap installed! (Swipe for before’s). I used to hate this space - it just felt dull and lacking of life. But throw in some sanding, paint, stencils, brick slips (and our hard labour😅), and now I’m so pleased with it and love spending time cooking and baking again!   2. Sunday thoughts. I started this page as a hobby, a little corner to find inspiration, share ideas and connect with lovely, like-minded people. I know so many of us began the same way. Working with brands came later, and for most of us it’s simply a bonus, a wonderful, unexpected bonus that I am very grateful for. It’s a way to stretch the budget on home projects or bring pieces into our homes without spending a fortune. There’s nothing wrong with that. Some people choose to make content creation a full-time career, and that’s absolutely okay too. But that doesn’t mean the rest of us should be told how to run our pages, feel guilty for accepting gifted items, or feel judged when someone kindly compliments our homes and offers to send us something . A little kindness goes a long way, we don’t need to call each other out. And just to be clear, this isn’t aimed at any one creator. I’ve seen so many posts and threads lately making the same claims about people like me “making it harder” or “underselling themselves.” It’s exhausting being made to feel bad for simply enjoying this space.   3. 🤍 wallpaper 🤍 I bought my Grandparents house, get on to decorating their bedroom into mine.   1. I got a few questions about this custom window shelf after showing it on stories the other day, so here's a few tips on how to make one of your own! I made it almost three years ago so unfortunately I don't have any footage of the build itself, but it's super easy and beginner friendly. The only tools you need are a saw (either a power saw or hand saw would work!) and some clamps to glue the front lip in place.   2. Viral shower rail garland - what I learnt 🥰 1. It’s even easier than it looks - you have to try it! 2. You don’t need cable ties if your base garland is wire. I used black electrical tape to hold one end of the garland in place and no other fixings. 3. They don’t stand out as well with dark backgrounds - mine doesn’t photograph well therefore. 4. You can do it on your own - no help needed! 💪🏼 5. You can add as much as you want but even a little looks good so just try it! 6.
