  1. As requested, a visual of the Apple Cider Vinegar Final Rinse I swear by!⁣ ⁣ The starting point is cleansed, conditioned (rinsed out) and brushed hair. There's filtered water and a generous splash of acv in my bowl, the measurement is what suits MY hair. The amount of acv needed will vary depending on your porosity but this is especially great for high porosity hair like mine. A guide of acv measurements are in @themestizamuse website article on this topic. ⁣ ⁣ 2 mins later you can see shiny clumps have reformed, smoothed out and been lifted of any residual heaviness from my deep conditioner. I rinse very lightly afterwards and style as normal. Please keep in mind my hair is very long now and in major need of a trim. Usually the results are a LOT more dramatic than this but you get the idea 😉 ⁣And NO, there's no residual vinegar smell. ⁣ ⁣ I only ever use organic apple cider vinegar with the mother, usually Braggs. Has anybody tried their ACV with raw honey?? I'm curious for people's thoughts on this 🤔⁣ ⁣ ⁣ I won't lazily regurgitate the ACV information I've learned from @themestizamuse , I urge you to go read her fantastically well researched, easy to read articles for yourself on her website ☺️ ⁣ ⁣ All the game changing treatments my hair thrives on (rice water rinses, ACV final rinses among others) have been learned from her. Follow this gifted educator, if you don't already 🙌⁣ ⁣ ⁣ The products used are all @boucleme : cleanser, deep conditioner and curl defining gel - a HG favourite. This brand gets frequently mentioned on this page, if you're new here. It's mega moisturizing, protein free, vegan & non toxic. Female, Black owned business too 🙌 ❤️❤️❤️⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #notsponsored #acvfinalrinse #acvrinse #applecidervinegar #acv #boucleme #naturalhairtreatment #wetplopping #wavyhairtutorial #naturalcurls #naturallywavyhair #wavyhair #curlyhair #curls #shinycurls #themestizamuse #powerdomi #nontoxichaircare #buyblack #supportblackownedbusiness #supportfemaleownedbusiness ⁣ ⁣

  2. 𝐼𝓃𝒽𝒶𝓈𝒾 𝒩𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝒶𝓁𝓈...⁣ ⁣ @inahsinaturals so very kindly gifted me a bunch of products. I have been playing around with them for over a month now. As you guys probably know my hair has been a challenge ever since I got it cut and bleached. I finally figured out what to do! More on that later 😉⁣ ⁣ I have to say I have been really loving these products. Especially their Custard! It gives me a really nice cast and I can use a lot of it. Some custards are too heavy for me and I can only use a tiny bit. I have found their products to be very hydrating and not heavy. Which is so important to me!! ⁣ ⁣ ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕀 𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞⁣ ⁣ Shower:⁣ ~I applied their Mango Hemp Restorative Hair Masque for 15 mins to wet hair⁣ ~I used their sulfate free Clarifying Mint Shampoo (it smells so fresh and exactly like mint. It doesn’t strip my hair at all)⁣ ~I applied their Soothing Mint Conditioner and let it sit for a few mins and detangled. I couldn’t believe how easily my brush slid through my massive tangles. Seriously it was so easy 🙏🏻🙏🏻⁣ ⁣ Styling:⁣ *I squeezed a little water out of my hair but not very much. I wanted my hair to be soaking wet!! I was bent over most of my Styler application. ⁣ ~ I used about a quarter sized amount of the Aloe Hibiscus leave in. I glazed and scrunched it in.⁣ *I sprayed my hair with a little water⁣ ~I took a small glob of the Coconut Avocado Curl Defining Custard and glazed and scrunched it in.⁣ *sprayed my hair with water and applied another layer of the Custard.⁣ *I then used a giant glob of my Eco Professional Styling Gel. I sprayed my hair with more water. I stood upright and distributed more gel carefully flipping my hair from side to side and scrunching⁣ ~ I went in with another layer of Custard while I was upright. ⁣ *I plopped for about 30 mins. And then very very lightly scrunched with the shirt I had used for plopping. ⁣ *I diffused for about 45 mins and smastered with some Pantene volume mousse. I allowed the rest to air dry. Then Ta-da 💁🏼‍♀️💜⁣

  3. 𝒢𝑒𝓁 𝒥𝒶𝓂...⁣ ⁣ If you’ve watched my styling routine videos you know I’ve always been about layering and mixing many products. The other day I decided to mix some of my gels together in a bowl before applying it. As I was doing this I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if I mixed all of my gels together 😧⁣ ⁣ I was pretty scared! But, man oh man my results were pretty good! If you watch the video in my highlights titled “gel jam” you can see my full results and I talk about it a little more!! Not only was my hair light and bouncy but it was super defined. It took way less time to style and it shockingly dried really quickly!! Hallelujah 🙏🏻🙌🏻⁣ ⁣ I am definitely going to play around with this more!! It’s the closes I’ve come to a wash and go routine! I was going to call it Gel Jam but that’s already a hashtag. Do you think I should still use just use #geljam? Or maybe #stylerjam? Or nothing because this is silly 😆 ⁣ What’s in my jam?? ⁣ ➰ @ranagadebeauty professional styling gel (the argon oil one)⁣ ➰ @ecoslay Orange Marmalade ⁣ ➰ @boucleme Curl Defining Gel ⁣ ➰ @officialkinkycurly Curling Custard ⁣ ➰ @curlygirlmovement Curl Defining Gel ⁣➰ @devacurl Ultra Defining Gel⁣ ➰ @aussiehairusa Instant Freeze ⁣ ➰ @miss_jessies Jelly Soft Curls ⁣ ⁣ **If you do try it make sure the consistency is smooth after mixing it up. If it’s chunky that means the gels might not work together ⁣

  2. Oh hey shrinkage! . Am I the only one that immediately hears George Costanza and giggles whenever a curly mentions shrinkage 🤷🏻‍♀️🤓🤣!? . . Sorry for the obnoxious amount of photos here but today’s wash day experiment was a 💣 success. Last wash day was a stringy mess (gel experiment gone bad) so thank the curl gods for today’s results 🙌 . . . I’ve read from curly pros on here about trying products that may not work for you again further along in your journey. That’s what I did today... . . . I started my wavy journey with mostly devacurl products but quickly realized their stylers were way too drying for me and moved on to other lines. But highly inspired by two of my favorite wavies @wavycurly & @thewavyhapa I decided to give Wavemaker & Frizz Free foam another shot. Now that I know my hair & regularly used products better I decided to add a generous amount of my favorite moisturizing products before hand and it made ALL the difference! No surprise it was two of my holy grails @asiamuk Coconut Cowash & my bae @bouncecurl Leave In. . . . I’ve never experienced noticeable shrinkage (still laughing 🤣) until today. I’ve got more texture than ever! The last picture is the most perfect wave and it’s a nemesis section of hair that’s usually straight af 😳. . . . Blown away by these no-gel results and will definitely play with it more and report back 🥰 . . . #curlygirlmethod #devacurl #bouncecurl #naturallywavy #wavyshag #wavyhair #wavycurls #wavycurly #wurlygirl #brunette

  1. 10 years ago... 👉I believed in size 0. 👉I wouldn't step out without makeup. 👉I felt 'professional' only with straight hair...and not one strand out of place. 👉I had to be 'perfect' always, perfectly aligned teeth, perfect smile, groomed & styled to look like a class act. 👉Toned thighs, legs, flatboard abs, that or nothing else. . . . 10 years hence... 👌I believe in good health, staying alive is the best thing that can happen every day. 👌I believe in everything natural - hair, skin and food. I don't hate make-up, but I haven't found the need to change my look in any way. 👌What you see is what you get - professionalism need not be defined by how you dress or wear your hair. It is defined by what or how you deliver. #whatyouseeiswhatyouget and that is me. 👌 Nothing and nobody is perfect, if one was, the learning stops. So, I am an eternal learner here... trying to see beauty in all the imperfections. 👌My legs shake like jelly sometimes, my abs are absolutely full 😂, but I don't kill myself over it. I work and stretch to keep myself healthy and strong... besides that everything else is a bonus. . . . I am not making these comparisons to say that I have let go or given up on life/looking good. It's about feeling good. It's about embracing the real self, loving the real me. . . . The next time you find yourself telling that "I used to look so much better in my 20s/30s..." Think again. . The 2010 portfolio picture was captured by Sandesh Jayakar @sandeshjayakarphotography #celebratelifeeveryday #luckytobealive #chitrachaudhuriwavy #throwback

  2. Frustrated with Thinning Hair…After Starting CGM! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ I know that I am about the stir the hornets' nest here, but hey, I am a fine, low density, thinning wavy-haired lady…and I don't like my scalp peeking. 😢 This is going to be a long post, so read it on my blog. (Link in bio) ➖ Disclaimer: I am not a hair expert, a hair doctor or hair specialist. The views expressed here are based on my observations on wavy and slightly-curly hair, my wavy-hair experiences and my learning. Please seek the advice of a medical doctor to treat excessive hair loss, hair fall or hair breakage symptoms. ➖ Is this blog post for you? If you can relate to any of the following observations about your hair, read on: #longpostalert 🍂Wash days mean too much hair shedding 🍂Can count losing 100 strands of hair per day, but I think it is more 🍂Scared to wash hair as I feel I will have nothing left on my scalp after I wash 🍂Tried everything - deep condition, Cod liver oil, Vitamin D, collagen, hair vitamins, Fenugreek, some Granny's 140-year old home-remedy #hairtip to boil the hell out of curry leaves in coconut oil & apply it…but hair keeps falling 🍂Hair shedding everywhere I go, it's autumn on my scalp all the time! 🍂Post hair wash, the shower area looks like a battle of hair 🤷 ➖ I have shared a comprehensive list of factors that cause #hairthinning #hairshedding #hairbreakage & #hairloss on my blog. There is no magic cure to hair fall! I have hormonal imbalances, PCOD and perimenopausal factors contributing to my hair shedding, sometimes stress is a strong contender here. But I am not giving up. So should you! ➖ Hair loss is not the end of the world. I cannot stress more upon this, in the current Corona calamity, we are all aware of our life's priorities. But still for the many who have written to me that hair loss has made you feel less of yourself, made you feel less attractive, made you experience a sense of loss, youthfulness, shame or even a loss of sexuality - please know that you are BEAUTIFUL!  ➖ Your hair doesn't make you less or more beautiful. You make everything beautiful! Stay blessed! ➖ #makingwaveseasy #makingCGMeasy

  1. Textured Hair Series Part 3 : FINALE 💋🪮 Going back to 90s nostalgia I thought textured hair was a amazing element used back then . The different twists, braids and accessories used in hair was always a statement piece. Big, BOLD, and ALWAYS serving, even in the classrooms 📚 Remember when your teacher would say “this isn’t hair school” Well it should be, bc we’re teaching a masterclass 🪮 I’ve absolutely loved coming up with these textured hair series. It was always about showing how textured hair in modeling and photography can be used more than just a standard fro or bun. Textured hair is a beautiful element and should be seen more as an art piece. 🔥 I am extremely grateful for the community I’ve been able to bring together since doing the series 🩵💐 The amazing hairstylist🪮 @beauty_by_tnoel did an amazing job of capturing the 90s theme and did our hair BEAUTIFULLY. For any curly girls, please hit her up for styles or trims. 💐 Thank you so much to my other model @alaya.lopez for helping devour these photos and bringing style into the set 💋 And a big shout out to our photographer📸 @emmie.edmo.photo who captured these photos AMAZINGLY, their artistic eye, I always appreciate and adore 🩵 I have absolutely learned so much from creating these series and I am excited and grateful that I’m putting this series to bed… FOR NOW 💋 Love you guys dearly 🩵 Sharing more photos soon 💋 #texturedhair #creativedirector #photographer #model #slcmodel #utahmodel #utahphotographer #hairstyles #hairphotography #nostalgia #90s #editorial #fashion #oldschool #creative #explorepage✨ #hairmodel #braidsbraids #hairphotoshoot #hairfashion
