As I approach 47 (gasp), I began to realize that things were changing for me. All of the things I was doing were not working; counting macros, doing lots of cardio & yoga, cutting out wine, going low carb, weights—you name it, I tried EVERYTHING. Yet, I was bloated, lots of inflammation, mood swings (hello perimenopause). I didn’t want to come out and say it—because using a GLP-1 gets so much criticism!! It’s cheating they say. Especially for someone who was looked at as “but you were already skinny.” Insert eye roll. 🙄 I gained 15 lbs (and in areas I didn’t want to) and had crazy cravings…something I had never really experienced before age 45. My clothes did not fit. I went up 3 denim sizes. I was over it. 👋 I gave GLP-1’s a try and it’s quite honestly the BEST thing I’ve ever done. I feel amazing. I don’t have many side effects because I take the RIGHT dose. I’ve lost about 12 lbs and it was exactly what I needed to feel amazing and get my confidence back.
