  3. #turkeyhuntingSharpen the threaded rod on an electric grinder and do the threads that will be inside of the leg skin, then take the electric grinder wire brush and smooth the roughened threads so they don’t break the skin.   1. 9yrs ago on Halloween I did something pretty scary - I signed up for the Foundations class @802crossfit - When I say that I was terrified to walk through those doors, I’m not just being my usual, dramatic self. While walking through those doors might have been one of the scariest things I have ever done, it has also been one of the most rewarding. - Doing CrossFit has improved my physical health, but equally as important are the gains I’ve achieved as a person. So yes, I lost weight while doing CrossFit (and with a lot of help and patience from @tacticnutrition & @meredith_root ) and that has impacted my health tremendously, but the things that I have gained from doing Crossfit are more meaningful to me than some number on the scale. I’m a more resilient, confident, kind, fun individual…actually, scratch that last one, I’ve always been fun 🤪. Anyway, what I’m getting at is that you don’t have to fit some specific mold to start or enjoy @crossfit and I hope that continuing to share my #journey or whatever helps to show that. Hey, I’m Allie 👋🏼 - Made some changes over the last 11yrs, and I post that first photo every year as a reminder, mostly to myself, of what we can accomplish if we want to change and are willing to work for it. - I post photos from that specific party in 2012 because I distinctly remember how uncomfortable and unhappy I felt. It took me some time to begin making changes, but this was the moment I realized I needed to alter course, because I had gotten lost. - During the following years I lost weight, but I also found myself along the way (yes, I know that’s cheesy). However, it’s not weight loss that led me to happiness, that’s something that I had to find again while figuring out who I was and who I wanted to be. As with most people, happiness can be a moving target depending on the season of life, but I can confidently say that I am happy and content with the person I am now. I’ve grown and learned so much about myself (and will continue to do so) but on those days when self-doubt creeps in, I try to remind myself that I’m a pretty dope ass person.   3. 8 years into this @crossfit thing and still loving every minute of it (well, maybe not the air bike minutes 😅). - I signed up for my first CrossFit Foundations class very close to Halloween, which seems appropriate because walking through those doors was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, but easily one of the most rewarding things as well. You can start at any stage in life, and I hope that this helps to show that. - This last year has been particularly tough and I may not have seen my athletic abilities grow as much as I’d like, but the growth I’ve made in my attitude and as a person over the last year has been really cool.
